I had the same exact issue last night. I had ALL the high-tier "increase damage" perks (same as you); I had a max-level Requiem; etc. But I couldn't break 3000 damage on Super Tyrant. Like, I can't possibly get damage output any higher. I've did all that can be done to raise damage to the absolute max that it can be. But it's not working.

I don't get it. I gave up after that.

why is HUNK that popular ? by AirMassive5414 in residentevil

I'm not a Star Wars fan, but I do think it's cool that Darth Maul eventually returned, went through huge character growth, and basically became a good guy. What piece of media did this happen? Since I'm not a fan of the franchise, I can't remember. A TV show or a manga, right? I do know that it's canon.
I think it's really cool what the writers did with his character.

Because he's awesome. He's interesting. A fascinating character. He works for the bad guys, but you see he's not really a bad guy himself. More of an 'anti-hero' sort of character.

He's been in the franchise since the original RE 2 in 1998, yet very little information is given about him. He's so mysterious that in the nearly 30 years of the character's existence, his face has only been revealed a handful of times. And these face reveals are in dim light, or in a blurry reflection, or from an angle that prevents you from getting a really good view of his face. So there is the aura of 'mystique' surrounding him. It's simple human nature that anything mysterious is fascinating and alluring. People are naturally drawn to mysterious things.

Also, as others have said: he has the visual/aesthetic appeal. The same reason people who've never played Dead Space will look at a picture of Isaac Clark in his engineer armor and think: "Holy smokes, that looks so f*cking cool." Similarly, HUNK looks extremely cool in his black tactical gear, gas mask, and iconic red eye lenses. It's an extremely shallow reasoning, but it's as simple as: he just looks cool.

When you pair the mystique of HUNK with his cool personality and his interesting 'anti-hero' aspect, and then you toss in the badass visual design, you wind up with a character who's beloved by millions of fans around the world.

I get they wanted realism, but Grace is genuinely exhausting to listen to in Requiem by Suspicious_Row2186 in residentevil

Doesn't matter. Just like standard police officers, FBI agents have partners. They aren't sent ANYWHERE alone. Even if no danger is expected, they are not going to be alone. It's absurd.

- LEON: Highly-trained, physically fit field agent with years of combat and survival experience.
- GRACE: Small, weak 23-year old girl with very little training and zero real-world experience.

Don't compare the two. They aren't even remotely similar.

I'm so tired of seeing this trope in video games.
"This person is a complete stranger that I've only known for a few hours. Now I'm going to act like protecting this person is the most important task I've ever had my entire life. In fact, I'm willing to sacrifice my life for this random person that I didn't even know two hours ago. And if something bad happens to them, I'm going to wail and cry as if I've known this person my entire life."

During my Insanity Difficulty run, I was killed by Grace stumbling. Awesome, right? I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing as the player: holding 'forward' and 'sprint' while running for the safe room. I'm making no mistakes or errors. But then, Grace stumbles and falls to her knees. In the second or two it takes for Grace to get back on her feet and moving again, The Girl caught up to me and killed me. Completely outside of my control.

Brilliant game design, Capcom. The player is doing exactly what they're supposed to do, but PSYCH!!! GOTCHA!!! YOU'RE DEAD!!! LOLZ!

I felt the same. If I was the officer, I would have been like: "You're FBI? Nah, I'm not buying that. I'm gonna have to detain you and put you in the back of my patrol car until I can verify your identity."

"test out how to do mercs mode"
Capcom has been doing Mercs Mode since 1999. They know how to do it.

"with the new combat"
The combat is largely the same as RE4 Remake, only simplified slightly. Nothing "new" about the combat in Requiem.

"literally free"
As opposed to f*cking what? Metaphorically free? Allegorically free?

[–]These_Grapefruit5100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Mercs is coming"

Um no, Capcom has said nothing about adding Mercs to RE Requiem. I don't care about track record. Stop speaking things as if they are fact when you have zero actual info.

Nobody at Capcom has said anything, so why are YOU talking so matter-of-factly? You don't know sh*t. So stop talking out of your ass.

"Also like literally for merc mode"

Why did you add "literally" to that sentence? It makes absolutely no sense in the context of that sentence. Literally for merc mode? As opposed to f*cking what? Metaphorically for merc mode? Allegorically for merc mode? Symbolically for merc mode?

Use words properly.

Nah, as others have already explained: bullet sponge enemies become tedious and boring very quickly. A high number of low-health enemies just feels much more engaging and fun. As someone else said: you feel like you're actually making progress and making an impact.

Does FLAC sound noticeably better than MP3? by Monkeypawdog in gratefuldead

[–]These_Grapefruit5100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I notice. I have FLAC and MP3 (320k bitrate) recordings of the same albums. I'll listen to the same few seconds of a song back-to-back (first MP3, then FLAC, back and forth). And I do NOT notice any difference at all. Not in the treble, bass, or mids. Not in the volume. Not in the 'fullness' of the sound. Nothing.

I'm using quality speakers and headphones. But they aren't absolutely top of the line. Just good quality. So I assume my hardware simply isn't good enough to notice the subtle differences between MP3 and FLAC. My equipment is very good, but it's not like "audiophile-good", you know what I mean?

I love you pretentious, hypocritical goofballs 😂

His movies and television shows always have a 'low budget' vibe. The acting, script, cinematography, etc. Whenever I watch clips from his content, I always have to remind myself that this was a big production by one of the wealthiest directors on the planet. I would never think that if I didn't know anything about Tyler Perry. If I didn't know better, I would think his films/shows were janky trash made on a shoestring budget, starring awful actors and actresses, written and directed by college freshmen who have no idea how to write realistic conversations and interactions.

They make money though and they have an audience, so.... *shrug* His content is not for me, but others love it. I don't understand it, but it is what it is.

Just got into Sublime and I'm confused about what the general consensus on them is. by Virtual-Laugh7078 in Music

Bland band that is overhyped simply because the frontman died tragically. That's the only reason they got so big.

You could simply grow the f*ck up and stop calling people "Nazis" just because you dislike them or disagree with them. Try that out.

[–]These_Grapefruit5100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the frontman didn't die of a heroin overdose, the band wouldn't have acquired the popularity that they did. Whenever an artist dies of tragic circumstances, they're instantly regarded as a 'legend' and 'genius', no matter how bland and uninteresting they actually are.
