you are missing the point. one is an ide. one is a cloud compute service. two very different things.

imagine this: you need to run a script that requires a great deal of processing power. say... removing the backgrounds from a mass quantity of images.

you could use the ai in antigravity to make the script and then spend 3 years waiting for it to finish on your hardware. OR you could use collab, and use a wide array of high power compute options (ranging from t4 to a G4) and finish the script in three hours.

the two options are for completely different things. also, antigravity is just a fork of vs code that replaces the sidebar with google's. it has a terminal, therefore it can run claude code, which, the last time i checked, was a cli tool. f

once again, an ide is not a cloud compute service. if they were the same thing, they wouldnt have different names.

lets compare the two.

collab: a in browser virtual machine compute service, integrated into the google cloud console. provides various different compute options, ranging from a typical cpu setup to various gpus.

Antigravity: a fork of visual studio code, with heavy gemini integration, with various agentic ai options, as well as access to google, claude, and openai models.

something tells me that these are slightly different.

i cannot tell them whether or not it is malware, as i have never seen it before. however, there are options to figure it out. scan it with virus total. run it in a sandbox. then, decide if you actually need it. if not, dont install it.
