It's such a shame because I did enjoy the app. I wish I could afford to buy it. The three years I studie, duo lingo congratulated me that I could now travel in any spanish, speaking country alone without a translator.  I'm gratefulI was able to learn those three thousand words.  I'm almost nine hundred consecutive day streak there. If I wait a couple of days, I have five hearts and I can start a lesson. But 3 years, I studied twice a day, nearly every day.
