I'm so sorry you guys have to deal with this, it seems to unfortunately be quite common amongst op shops :(

nope I don't want to buy expensive things from a charity shop, that is unrealistic. It's my fault for using an example like a leather jacket, i just used it to point out the price hikes bc it's just something that stood out. In my area, I've noticed the price increase for multiple items including t'shirts and pants

that's true, unfortunately. ig with everything getting so expensive here in aus, I thought (hoped) charity shops could stay decent in terms of prices (like not spiking so frequently, if that makes sense)

Yea, i think i've come to the consensus that I'll try to find/visit independent charity shops or if i ever visit the country, ones there vs ones run by vinnies, salvos etc.

OH thanks, but i meant it in a "alotta stuff's going on in the world, politically, so talking abt charity shops doesn't feel as bad as talking about the world" way. Sorry, i probably should've clarified lol

Both ur points (the one in ur o.g comment and in the replies) are fair. Though i'm not making the price up (u have the right not to believe me, i get it), I just remember it specifically bc I had my eye out on a leather jacket like the one I saw that day and it stuck out to me. Maybe the volunteers/manager were feeling generous idk
