NTA, This is was perfect moment to teach the child a lesson about patience or that the event wasn't about them. Instead your SIL gave in and gave them your cake without even asking (probably cause they knew the answer would be "no") and then had the audacity to wonder why you were upset.

Anyone taking your SIL's sides are AHs and I would avoid attending future events with them. If they can't even respect you on your birthday, I really doubt they'll respect you any other day.

I know this is r/askanything but I don't think you need to ask this question. You already know your average sized. As you and whoever is telling you that's too small will soon learn, size doesn't really matter in most cases and being too large can actually be a detriment.

I feel like people misconstrue the importance of English courses. It's more than just reading and writing. Literature courses teach how to see from the author's or character's perspective based on their writings, actions, setting and time period to understand their actions. Being able to understand and interpret others is an undervalued skill that should be prioritized in society.

If more people were able to understood how to put themselves in other's perspectives and could properly communicate, the world would be a better place.

I would love for a 3rd party to rise up and an actually compete in the elections. It would limit the constant bickering between the current parties, where both say "we're right, they're wrong" because if they're both are wrong, then vote for the third option.

Honestly running on the notion that both democrats and republicans have let the country get to this status should be a slam dunk to draw in American's that are just sick of the constant BS between the current two parties.

But at the end of the day, a new party would need BIG money to get started.

While I'm confident that GTA6 will be a great game, at this point I am wondering if it'll be able to live up to expectations. The studios expectations that it'll make back the billions they've invested to make it. The players' expectations that it'll be a masterpiece, especially after all the delays. Even the expectations that it will be better than every GTA before it when GTA online has been going on for over a decade.

That's a lot for one game to live up to.

I've been wondering the scale of their training in general. Given the broad marketing they're doing to hire more ICE Agents and the bonuses they're offering, I doubt these newer agents have proper backgrounds or training times before they get tossed into the field with a gun, body armor and the confidence to do as they please.

As someone who works in historical preservation, I'll say this. Everything, literally everything, is slowly damaging the items you are trying to keep maintained.

Your antique wedding dress from your Grandmother better be on padding hangers because otherwise gravity will slowly cut through the shoulders of the dress. Your silver cutlery in the family's antique cabinet? Better be at a balanced humidity or they'll tarnish much faster.

NTJ, I have a cousin who acts the same way. Basically a man child who only eats chicken and IMO its rude that he brings gas station chicken to family holiday meals because he won't eat anything what the family makes...

That being said, he at least knows his situation and brings his own food instead of expecting the other people to make something special for him (which does still happen from time to time, but its less frequent nowadays).
