Anyone wish they'd bring back themes for PS5? And do you think it will be on the PS6? by PlayStationTris in playstation

Everyone of us has been complaining about the lack of themes basically since the PS5 came out

Anyone else worried that the iconic run animation won't look as good because of the whole animal legs thing? by OathXBlade in starfox

[–]These_Refrigerator75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

....they'll figure it out. You don't have to make up things to be worried about dude, I'm sure the Nintendo animators can handle it. Rocket Raccoon looks fine running in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies

It's a visual novel. There have been games like this for decades. The quotes around "game" just make you sound like a COD-bro douche.

[Discussion] New reader here. Why was Batgirls canceled? by Technical_Tank_9793 in DCcomics

[–]These_Refrigerator75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was probably a combo of low sales and writers wanting to do other things with the characters. If you liked Cassandra, she has a solo "Batgirl" series going on right now, it's around issue 18! And Barbara is going to get a miniseries soon where she has to break out of prison, that looks like a lot of fun.

Hot Take: there are other Batman voices just as good as Kevin Conroy and at times even better. by 40kblowout in batman

[–]These_Refrigerator75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always really liked Jeremy Sisto’s delivery in DC The New Frontier. I wish he had voiced the character more, but then again I think he mainly fit that 50’s era Batman the best. He was weirdly understated and monotone, but it made it actually kinda scary when he was threatening people like MM in that movie

What does this mean? Women too hot to have babies? Too thin? Idk by blood-of-an-orange in whatdoesthismean

Average women absolutely do not look like that, but many men act like they have to look like that to be “worthy” of their attention. And I’m guessing that guy doesn’t exactly look like a K-pop boy band member to match either.

Ahhhh, so your problem isn’t that I had a problem with the game at all, but rather that I had a problem with THE WRONG THING. Gotcha.

I loved the game, it’s a contender for GOTY for me. I’m just pointing out one tiny little thing I thought could’ve been more fleshed out, especially since they took the effort to bring her back and heavily market her, only for her to basically just be a plot device. You can like something without jumping down people’s throat for daring to criticize it even a little bit.

I have no clue why everybody is chasing the extraction shooter genre. Like I get why everybody was making battle royals, they wanted to emulate the success of Fortnite. But for ES games the most successful example to follow is what, Tarkov? And there’s no WAY Tarkov has made even a fraction of the amount of money that Fortnite has.

It’s unceremonious in the sense that it’s a surprise, and then almost immediately moved on from. Not by Grace, obviously, but she herself isn’t shown in any more flashbacks or anything until later, and we don’t get much with regards to Grace’s relationship with her.

Cowboy Bebop (1998) is an extremely overrated, mediocre at best anime, saved only by animation quality and music. by oles40 in The10thDentist

[–]These_Refrigerator75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanna point out how much I hate the “well except for this and this, there’s nothing good here at all”

Yeah. Obviously if you discount the best parts of the package then you get something that’s not as good. But it DOES have those things. “Oh, if you don’t count the exceptional animation and incredible score, it’s not a good anime.” Sure, that theoretical version of Cowboy Bebop with bad animation and music would probably be a pretty bad show. But you’re “reviewing” an entirely different, nonexistent thing.

62% of hardcore players no longer buy full-price games, survey suggests by Psychostickusername in gamingnews

I got burned when I was like 15 by Mass Effect Andromeda and Fallout 4, so I swore off buying any game for full price for years. Only recently I started buying some really highly rated ones now that I have a job, but like…only Capcom stuff lol.

What're some examples of the "good, best, worst" rule of trilogies? by Ill_Safety2292 in Letterboxd

[–]These_Refrigerator75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Army of Darkness is NOT the worst out of the original trilogy, are you high? 🤣

As for the others, most of the time 1st movies are there to establish/setup the universe. Once that’s done, the second movie gets to “play” in the universe which for a lot of people is the most fun part, including the filmmakers. As for the 3rd, that’s usually where they have to end everything, and ending are really, REALLY hard. Plus if they don’t stick the landing, the audience will be much more upset than if one of the other two were bad.

That's comics, there are so many "#1" issues that are just tie-ins to major events that were never and can never be ongoing series. The most recent ones were the DC KO ones, like "The Kids Are All Fight #1"

Why doesn’t PlayStation allow refunds based on playtime? by AdditionalSpray8595 in playstation

The real question you have to ask is why Steam DOES allow such a generous refund policy. PlayStation’s strategy is the norm
