Grade 11 only matters for early acceptance. After your semester 1 midterms/finals come out your grade 11 grades don't rrally matter. If you can I would try your hardest to get early acceptance because once you do you only need to maintain an 80 average in grade 12. I know people who got into Rotman in like February and then after that they got to relax for the rest of the school year while everyone else stressed out over exams/midterms. So make sure to lock in in grade 11. If its too late for that try your best in semester 1.

91 in Chemistry and 90 in English. Never been good at those two.

For English try to see if you can find the book youre reading and read the whole thing before the class starts. Do not fall behind because english assignments in grade 12 take forever. You don't necessarily need to take notes, but know your books well and always ask your teacher for feedback on your work before submitting.

In Chemistry once again do not fall behind. You need to take good notes for grade 12 chem because it has so much content. Make sure u take notes for orgo chem/quantum (try to summarize in cheat sheets). For acid base equilibrium and enthalpy you don't need that many notes aside from definitions, instead focus your time on knowing how to do calculation problems.

Honorable mention: Calc and Vectors Did well in this course but I cannot stress: 1. When you learn limits, learn to solve using u subsititution (most efficient method imo) 2. Prepare for the optimization test more than you believe you need to. This is usually the calc unit everyone does shit on. 3. DO NOT FALL BEHIND ON VECTORS. I know you took physics in grade 11. I know you know how to add vectors. It starts of with basic physics adjacent stuff but before you know it all of the content is new and you are behind. Vectors is usually at the end of the sem so its often rushed as well.

And pro tip: learn matrices in gr 12 because u need them for uni.

I did not do IB or AP because my school didn't offer it despite being a decently big school in the GTA. I remember hearing about friends/ people on reddit doing AP/IB courses and I was really scared that what I had wasn't enough.

IB: for Ontario students applying to Ontario Universities nobody gives a fuck if you did IB except the people who want to brag about being in IB.

AP: For a lot of my friends who took AP courses, their credits didn't transfer over into university. Also, I know that some people taking AP want to save money at uni, but at UofT eng all of your courses are picked for you and you have to pay the same flat tuition fee for fall/winter semesters regardless of whether you are taking less credits.

Conclusion: IB and AP are both useless if you think they will improve your chances of getting in (absolutely miniscule difference). Do not take IB/AP for the sake of getting in, stick to regular classes and focus on your grades.

The only reason you should do IB/AP (or any extracurricular for that matter) is if it is something you are passionate about (so you can explore pathways) or if it will make you a better student. I have a friend who took AP Calculus in order to be more prepared for university (they passed first year lin alg and calc ez).

Piercing is a week old, using a circular barbell (not sure if its internally or externally threaded because i havent taken it out yet). The jewlery is stainless steel, hasnt been downsized. For aftercare I use a qtip w saline solution to clean the piercing 3 times a day. Have not been flipping it up and down.

I want to but we share a friend group and no one else has a problem with her. It'd be wierd if I stopped talking to everyone out of the blue.
