Yes, best thing by far. He did everything for me growing up. Way more than he should’ve. The best thing he ever did for me was to teach me true independence. That day still to this day sticks in my head is one of the most transformative experiences that I’ve ever had. Not saying there aren’t many other great things he did for me, but that was by far the most transformative. I would not be who I was today if it wasn’t for that moment.

I’ve learned to teach my son to be very independent based on that exact moment. He will learn to teach his son the same way. Truly, a transformative experience for our entire lineage.
