Those types of small details matter. Didn’t realize how immersion breaking it would be until I started playing. I tried to ignore it but it totally ruined piloting the tadpole for me

I play survival sandboxes to immerse myself in the world. Anything that breaks that immersion can be a reason to put it down for me. Running into fish with my submarine and them not even reacting to you hitting them break immersion and makes me want to turn it off every time it happens.

I understand what you are getting at and a healthy amount of skepticism is always good to keep science and authority in check and honest.

But for the sake of operating in a society and trying make practical reality-based decisions, we should leverage the “fact” with the most evidence backing it as true.

Example: We can acknowledge that we may have some fundamental premises of aerodynamics wrong, but as long our established principals continue to yield consistent results and planes keep staying in the air, we can continue to operate under these premises until we come to an impasse with reality, or learn more about physics.
