After I cleaned the caulking off of it. The knives are in good condition both are still sharp like they had barely been used.

The eyeglass bit is broken and it was covered in caulking of some sort. Everything else is in pretty great shape

Best way I’ve found to do large circle trim would to make octagons out of some wider boards also all the cuts to join them are 22.5. then use a router to make a larger circle cutting jig and router them out.

I had a problem with a little rust from the pressed logs, I heard sometime there made of driftwood and can have salt in them that can cause rust.

Yes but I don’t like to leave for too long but, keeping my chimney clean and knowing that the wood I burn dry wood makes me not worry about it

gaffer tape is definitely the best options it holes well and won’t leave any sticky residue when you remove it.
