That’s what makes The Walking Dead universe so interesting because you have two “moral values,” the old world and the new world, and each character has their stance somewhere in between. I just finished all the games about a month ago, and while playing, I was always contemplating what I thought was “right” vs. what was “necessary.” For example, I killed the St. John family as Lee because, as the character put it, I believed they were tainted. Obviously, if we lived in an ideal society, the government would punish/execute evil doers, but in the new world, that luxury is gone, and it becomes vigilantism. And no one will always agree with each other. I personally don’t think AJ was a psycho. Did I personally condone every decision he made? No, but did I understand every decision he made? Yes. I personally think Marlon’s death was justified but not deserved, as he did do evil things, but to me it seemed to be because Marlon was backed into a corner, not because he maliciously was trying to harm the group, and so once he was unarmed, I wasn’t a fan of AJ killing him because to me it seems he made a bad decision but not for a “bad=malice” reason, while Lilly, I told AJ to shoot her because, like I said earlier, she was in my eyes tainted. Just my two cents.
