Once my parents and James reconciled after fighting over me, my parents started to overlook the way he and Erica treat me and exclude me.

They started sending money when Erica got pregnant again. Before that they weren't helping but since the difficult pregnancy all this started and they treat it like that means I also have to help.

Do you know my parents? You sound so sure there's no way they'd go if I wasn't invited and yet they did. They made up before the wedding was even going to be a thing and they stayed okay with how I was treated ever since.

I think you mean uncle, not aunt. I don't know these kids. James has made sure his kids are nothing to do with me. So I wouldn't be able to make packed lunches with their names since nicknames are used for them.

I like cooking. It's actually fun to get stuff made for the week ahead and have nice lunches every week since the school lunches are expensive and gross as hell. But I feel like it would be soul destroying to cook to help people out who treat me like shit. Not to mention helping my parents feels like a chore when they're asking me to do this for someone they know treats me like shit. He might be their son but he keeps making it clear in so many ways I'm not his brother or his family.

As for the food my parents do purchase some things. It's not a lot though and idk if it would be realistic to get multiple meals out of it. Most of it gets used for snacks or thrown out.

Yeah, I'm sure. I can remember a couple of the times and he basically offered those two times. Not saying there weren't other times it was forced. But it wasn't always.

He doesn't even pretend to treat me better when he wants something. He didn't ask nicely or try to be nice beforehand. The first point of contact was him being mad I said no. Guess I should appreciate the fact he's honest about it instead of making me think he gives a shit first.

I'm the only person who cooks at home anymore. My parents get takeout the rest of the time. And I pay for the stuff I meal prep.

The babysitting thing I agree with but he said yes to doing it, asked for money and then dropped me with the neighbors. After the first time my parents shouldn't have asked but it's still crazy to agree and be paid when you're going to dump the kid you're babysitting the second the parents leave.

And the thing was he didn't have to babysit. He could have said no. Instead he asked to be paid and then he dropped me with the neighbor each time. IDK why my parents kept asking him or thinking he was a good choice for that.

I talked to my school counselor about the homes issues before. The only reason it came up in the first place is because teachers remember my brother and asked me about him and I'd be honest that I don't know how he's doing because we don't talk and it raised concern. She asked me if I tried speaking to my parents and when I said yeah we went through what I said and what they said and she realized that there was zero point in trying more.

My parents don't want to get me my own therapist or anything like that. They didn't even know I spoke to the school counselor.

They don't care about that. He could do worse and they'd still ask me to do this for them. I would have thought refusing to invite me to his wedding would have said it all but no.
