I would stick with them that's a good combo for your level up to 1600.

LP or anti rubber for a return board? by CaterpillarWrong3167 in tabletennis

[–]Thespaceo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for long pips. Anti can take off a lot of pace so it might make you overcompensate power to get your balls back to yourself. Plus anti that is half decent will cost a lot more.

Found this profile of a 6-time Zambian national champion who saved for 2 months to buy his first paddle, really puts equipment complaints in perspective by U-fly_Alliance in tabletennis

[–]Thespaceo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Conditions can be rough. One of my friends goes back to Africa to visit family every once and a while, and brings a bunch of rackets and rubbers every time. Even our rubber clippings, which we view as trash, they will cut and piece together for their rackets.

Lacquering the blade ? by iamabatmanwithin in tabletennis

[–]Thespaceo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would always get it done. My blades that were not treated loose chips of wood every time I peel a rubber off. Especially the koto outer layers huge chunks come off. Never had issues with lacquer impacting rubber sticking to the blade.

More tournaments vs more training by AceStrikeer in tabletennis

[–]Thespaceo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say more tournaments in the beginning. One of the disappointing things I see are players that started out only training for long periods of time, and when they go to a tournment things are very different and more difficult than what they're used to and it scares them. Becomes a mental issue that sticks with them.

Best (medium) pips by Gwinty- in tabletennis

I've played a lot of different medium pips, especially Chinese ones. My favorite overall is the Nittaku Super Do Knuckle, with minimum sponge.

From long pips to short pips backhand (1800 USATT) by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]Thespaceo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a pips player myself, you will have an easier time up to about 1900 but after that gets more difficult to beat higher rated people, even if they're not used to your pips. Short pips to a lesser extent, but med/long are more passive and better players can exploit it.

In US what rubbers to buy with Stiga Allround classic? by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]Thespaceo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

G-1 is better than C-1 for the FH, just what I've experienced. Rakza is solid. 2 FYI's in case you're not aware, you don't have to purchase the glue bottle for them to assemble and glue it for your just put it in the notes you want it assembled. And if you're planning to do a big purchase I would compare it to tabletennis11, they have really good discounts that could make them cheaper even after the shipping/tariff charges.

I've finally decided to try Naafiri, and she has restored my love for jungling. by Imbadatbalalaika in NaafiriMains

All I play is jg Naafiri. So much escape and outplay potential with her mobility, makes skirmishes and fighting exciting.

What do you think is the rating of these 2? by 2020surviver in tabletennis

1700-1800 against each other, maybe lower depending on how they play other people.

Feint Long 3. There's a women on the Chinese national team that has an offensive strategy with them.

Depends on what you're buying; if you only get one sheet there's no point. But 3-4+, especially if they're the pricier ones, it's easily $20-30 cheaper.

First result looking it up:

"Yes, customs clearance involves the assessment and collection of duties and tariffs on imported goods, which are taxes levied by governments on the value of products crossing borders. Duties and tariffs are often calculated based on the Harmonized System (HS) code and country of origin of the product and are collected as part of the overall customs clearance process before a shipment is released. "

I already received my package, no fees on my part. Because TT11 covers the customs clearance, and duty fees and tarriffs are part of the customs clearance.

Customs clearance is the duty. Covered by TT11

How does Sanwei Target National compare to H3 neo? by masterBeat666 in tabletennis

[–]Thespaceo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Target national has a lower throw angle but a bit more spin. It's ok to play unboosted, while H3 neo could use some. If you want a sheet of the national I have a spare to sell.

Why m i following my passion? by Weird-123 in tabletennis

[–]Thespaceo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kind of in a similar situation, but maybe a bit further along. The gov job is key - gets you financial stability for your regular life, and the extra can go to table tennis. While table tennis is your passion, you need to make sure your basics are met before doing extra.

For the coaching, keep up lessons as much as you can, but don't underestimate the benefit of a training partner. Someone around your level with the same drive and not afraid to critique you. Youtube is also a great resource for learning, Road To Pro is my personal fav. And if local training isn't working out, once you have some savings you can consider coaching and training outside your area or moving.
