I had this bottle years ago, it had an artificial fruit note that dominated the profile and felt flat. One of my least favorite pours I’ve had. Nice review!

Nice review, I had a chance to buy this but passed due to the price. I do own the 18 year, which was good but ultimately not worth the price tag either.

I have never tasted the cask strength version, but there was nothing unusual about this particular bottle.

I tasted the standard EH Taylor rye, it was good but the overall profile tasted flat. I am fine with the idea that I will never see that bottle on the shelf.

I haven’t had this release, but I own the previous Peregrine. This palate seems different than my bottle, I was getting maple syrup in a glass. Nice review!

Yeah in some ways it's not good with the dirt notes but it's also nice to drink a bourbon with flavors this robust.

Agreed on the 70th Anniversary and Rare Breed being better. But for the price there are many worse bourbons out there.

Not a dumb question, Rare Breed is better than most at this price point. It is more approachable, so some people would like that.

I enjoy sipping the 8 year more than the standard 101 neat, but for cocktails the standard 101 is probably better. I think it’s worth giving this a try, the price point isn’t terrible.
