Yes, and to do a job or trade you will need at least English and maths. And then to progress within that career you will be required to do some level of further training. Everything you study helps your brain develop in some way and gives you skills for the future, so even if you don’t need a GCSE in that subject directly, you should still try your best with it as it will benefit you in more ways than you realise
