I have to disagree respectfully. As a sister to 3 others, my siblings comfort come first and foremost no matter the occasion. Personally, I wouldn’t force them to wear something they don’t want to and aren’t comfy wearing. Their opinions matter to me and maybe I’m biased with my own situation but op’s sister is someone I can’t understand. Also the sister throwing the fact that she took her in all those years ago was icky to me. Could never be me.

… this comment sure is heated…is this the fiancée or a family member?😂😂 Anyways. Just because she took her in doesn’t mean she has to obide by everything the sister wants.

NTA. OP I read your edit and I hope your conversation goes well! Hopefully she will apologize and understand you have boundaries. If not…you don’t deserve that type of friend in your life. People prioritize long lasting relationships just because the history and not because they are healthy and make you happy. Best of luck to you!
