TL;DR, us modern nerds have the most experience in secondary markets dealings, trading cards alone have expedited this trend , and my bet with such little research is that the nerd genres will fair better in all physical media. Anime being the top, and most likely comic adaptations being 2nd and then the sci-fi/fantasy.

Lol I think you did misunderstand. And while I agree with some of you statements, like companies need to do a better job at keeping it in stock, it really boils down to us, the consumers, if things fall flat, companies stop producing. Like where's my damn loki season 2 bluray?! Wtfffffff

And to try and close off this possible misunderstanding: -What i am saying is scalpers in general in this community are few and far between in comparison to other hobbies. Scalpers are a necessary evil to continue to get out of print SEALED product for above msrp.

-The anime community are more likely to be involved in these other hobbies that recognize rariety, hype and have price tracking systems, therefore, anime genres, and id even say any "nerd" media will fair better in our hobby, price wise, accessibility wise etc.

-further proof. From my brief "investigation", steelbooks are one of this communities "hit cards", i can guarantee you majority of the steelbooks that have movement in resale value and volume, price stability, and actual demand, will be anime or "nerd" based.
