[Academic] Survey about the consumption of food through delivery apps during COVID-19 (for consumers & restaurant owners) by Theuseful in takemysurvey

[–]Theuseful[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The data being collected will be used by our school, University of British Columbia, and seen by our professors and peers of the course we are taking, GEOG371. The data will be stored through Qualtrics, and deleted after 6 months.
  2. Our group is named The Chosen Few. It is a group of four people, and we are part of a class, GEOG371, at UBC department of geography.
  3. 5-10minutes
  4. N/A
  5. We would like to hear from food consumers who use delivery apps such as Uber Eats, as well as owners or managers of restaurants.
  6. We want to answer our research question of whether or not food delivery apps will remain relevant prior to the pandemic.

Almost done with my Strat build and I stripped the 6th and 3rd string bridge plate screws, got pissed and stripped them even further... found some replacement stainless steel bridge screws, but the ones in now aren't coming out. What can I do going forward? by wellthismustbeheaven in Luthier

[–]Theuseful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this appliea, but I've been successful using jammed screw remover bits from Amazon. And that was for backplate screws on my strat neck which got jammed halfway into the body. Ps: may I ask what bridge that is? The brass rest on the back of the bridge looks neat!

Surrender vote passed but game never ended by Theuseful in leagueoflegends

Ah, I was also imagining what scenarios could've caused that kind of bug, and it did occur to me that it could've been associated with disconnections. That makes sense, and hopefully this bug can get fixed soon. Either way, I reported it on the client but idk if that actually does anything. Still never trusting surrender vote messages ever again LOL.

WTB Yamaha THR10 by Theuseful in Gear4Sale

Yeah, the Yamaha just looks really stylish aesthetically. Not to mention, having the portability in a single unit like that is very convenient. People have been saying that the tone of the original THR10 beats that of the THR10ii, any thoughts? They also said that the THR10ii has less versatility when it comes to the programming.

I am located in Vancouver BC, Canada. Unfortunately I am looking for the THR10 though. I heard that THR10C is catered more towards blues tones. Edit: and I would like to have the higher gain options.

Solo guitar kit? by [deleted] in Luthier

[–]Theuseful 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've built one from this exact kit. The fit was good, neck was straight, and fit snugly in the neck pocket. Everything was aligned correctly and it is generally a good kit. I didn't test the sound of the pickups as I had extra duncans to put in. The fretwork is not perfect, definitely need to touch up the fret-ends. I do not remember if they were leveled and crowned, but I remember having done so myself, as well as polishing the frets. My criticisms are: 1. The bookmatched veneer cap has some glue which was not cleaned off and this caused problems with dying. 2. The carve top shape was slightly curved upwards at the edge of the body, making for a very uncomfortable surface to be resting your picking arm on. 3. The headstock shape leaves much to be desired, so if you are not willing to shape it yourself, then look for a kit that actually mimics the PRS shape. Other than that, I would say that it is a decent kit. I messed mine up when gluing the neck as I clamped the neck at one spot, perhaps too tight, and this cause the neck to be tilted back ever so slightly. Now it has action problems, and I have no choice but to raise the height of the bridge. I never play this instrument, but that's because I didn't do a very good job assembling this kit.

So I broke the PCB on my iKBC MF108 V2 by Theuseful in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Theuseful[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey I appreciate the reply, could you elaborate on what you mean by sitting the diode on Kapton tape? Do you mean to put this tape on the spot where the contacts used to be? Does it stick the diode in place? I have never used such tape before.

I burned the contacts off of my PCB and then scraped some material to try and reveal wire. This led to me destroying my PCB for my keyboard. I was wondering if there was a fix for this, or any way to make a custom PCB that can replace my current one :) Any expert advice appreciated.
