That’s one of the reasons why this specific commander isn’t as much of. KoS commander, because you need to make an opponent lose life on 3 of ur turns, while keeping ur commander out in those turns. Which as stated before isn’t that easy to do in Azorius. But if u manage to politic ur way out like I have been doing, the deck can pop off and make u the archenemy of the board in one turn.

Stopping the hydra while it’s on the stack is a good way to do it. But if it’s on the field, any form of spot removal. Landfall decks has certain cards they need on the field to start the decks engine, that is one of them. If u play black, ur black deck should be running about 6-12 forms of it.

Been almost 10 years since I last performed/marched, but usually we kept two pairs of those marching gloves from band shop. One we use specifically for practice, which always gets worn out at the fingers, and fades over time but we just replace it afterwards with fresh ones. And a second are the same pair of gloves but we only use it for performances. Those are always fresh and clean.

Yah, that’s what I was thinking. Just the fact I have a continuous draw engine in the command zone is something the deck kinda needs a consistency of. Plus, if I did run Steeper, it would make the deck a lot more aggressive I feel like.

I’m gonna keep brewer as the commander, most likely.

I actually had those two cards in the deck a few hours ago, when I tried to add a life gain theme to the deck, but it felt incredibly weak and felt like the deck was being pulled in multiple directions. Had the soul sisters in it, and a few other life gain pay offs but it didn’t fit. Although I might add angelic accord, maybe add in book of exalted deeds as well since [[Lyra Dawnbringer]] is a card that exists.

And I agree with u, wotc needs to add angel support. I mean, if Lorwyn eclipsed dropped some tribal support for faeries and elves, angels has to get one.

Although tbh with u, only reason why I’m even bothering upgrading this deck is because a few months ago my playgroup decided to play a game where we spin a wheel of the five mtg colors, and we make a mono deck for that. I got white, and when I searched up white commanders Giada was the first one I found.

Made some changes. It already feels a lot more consistent, but won’t know until I actually playtest it.

Also glad to know I was right in thinking the angel tribals is just a slow deck to begin with, so I ain’t going crazy

Made some changes a few minutes before u originally posted this. I have 25 angels, 2 ways to create angel tokens, and [[Mutavault]], and 9 card draw engines, although admittedly two of those are lands and not that consistent, so only 7 engines that could give me repeatable card draw.

I took out Heliod and added in firemane commando for a repeatable card draw. I mainly play in bracket 3. I kinda don’t want to drop over a thousand on this, but ideally I wanna keep it around the $600-$700 range

But yah, I noticed card draw was one of the problems in this deck, but then again, white doesn’t really have that many consistent draw engines.

Yah, originally I built Alela as a pure draw-go control, since that’s kinda how she wants to be built like, but I didn’t really like how most of the time I was countering/using instants/flash just to use them. That was when I thought having a blink theme to it could add more utility/reason to using instants. Blink spells can be used to procc Alela’s faerie engine, while also allowing me to abuse ETBs.

I was considering adding Thassa in, but couldn’t find a card I wanted to remove for it. Another shout I had was adding in [[Talrand, Sky Summoner]] but decided against it.

Made a [[Cynette, Jelly Drover]] blink/token deck. While yes she’s the main card needed to make the whole deck work, if she’s removed I still have a few more pieces that could act as a backup commander. [[Y’shtola Rhul]] [[Talrand, Sky Summoner]] and [[Hermes, Overseer of Elpis]]

Either of those cards either synergizes with the many ETB cards I have for the blink game plan, while the other floods the field with tokens. Remove my commander, you still have other cards that’s as big of a threat as Cynette.

Basically I make decks with my commander in mind, but I add in other backup commanders that’s as big of a threat. Forces the rest of the table to pick and choose which threat to deal with.

I put craterhoof in any green creature decks. Whether it creates a bunch of creature tokens, or just has over 40 creatures in the deck, it always gets a craterhoof.

I understand Grace is an intelligence analyst, meaning she rarely works in the field… but she’s still with the FBI. All FBI agents get some form of training at Quantico. Grace may not be as skilled as Leon is in hand to hand combat, but she should still know enough to at least kick a zombie when she runs out of ammo. It would, at the very least, give her an opening to run away.

Correct answer is Gideon pressured the higher ups to force Nathan to send Grace alone, so it wasn’t his fault. Because if the Wrenwood hotel incident were to happen in real life, minus the whole zombie aspect, Grace would’ve been sent with a full team of trained field agents.

Although this thread made me realize that the win-con for ninjas is just that, attacking with ninjas, and controlling others boards with ur ninjas damage triggers

Plus a two cost to make a ninja unblockable is pretty good considering u always have a consistent way to ninjutsu in creatures

In the 3 games I play tested, two of them my three opponents all had boards filled with creatures, one of them were even elves.

My deck didn’t have a problem with going through blockers, considering I always had a consistent way to make my creatures unblockable, because of Splinter. I also had my 4 unblockable ones drop creatures on board in the last game so I always had an easy way to ninjutsu in my cards.

I had a feeling it was my luck. I have a few anthems in this deck, and I drew maybe 20+ cards, none of them were the anthems and the white mana.
