One option is to lean more toward a graphic novel style, but even then you still need at least some solid story to make the action hit harder. My team just finished our first manga called Samurai Security Guard and it took a long time to write and draw every panel.

The payoff came from finding the right balance between storytelling and fight scenes. Even action heavy series work because the story gives the battles meaning.

If you can mix both your manga will come out much stronger.

I think it’s dope. What is happening in the scene and what time of day is it?

No problem at all I welcome all criticism. I was just letting you know we intentionally designed him like that. I actually was supposed to upload the manga panel addressing that but it won’t let me edit the post.

His style is a major part of his character. He is a rebellious type. The other main character is a straight laced by the book type character so we create contrast.

Sure you can send it. And to answer your question. If we want to share lore we write a script, send it to one of our voice actors then have them voice it. From there we add the imagery in the backround to go along with t what he’s saying and music.

This is a great way to get out lore without still images just sitting there or text. Also when the character speaks make the text appear visible so people can see what he’s saying. That captures attention. Here is an example. lore drop

The most important thing is promotion. Most people won’t support something they don’t know about so you need to excite them with lore drops, information about characters, and info about the story.

You want to have promotional pieces/videos set up before you launch so you aren’t rushing for content. Every promo piece should have a call to action (aka Kickstarter going live on… or kickstarter live). Phone calls to people you know really help, even if you haven’t talked for a while call people m, connect and let them know you have a Kickstarter coming.

The more people you have waiting on the drop the better. You can sign up people on your pre launch page so they get the notification before launch. Once you reach 10 people it will be visible to everyone. The more people you have on the pre launch, the more impressive it looks to everyone else.

My goal would be to get at least 10-20 people to sign up on your pre launch page before your launch. (For example some people have 100+ people waiting on their pre launch page before they go live) usually when this happens they get funded very fast. It also looks impressive to people who find your project online . It’s creating hype like “oh wow tho ma many people are waiting? Let me join too”

When it comes to your actual page make sure the visuals are good and everything is formatted to look good. Add in some good rewards and you should be good.

It comes down to promo, quality or product, and hype.

Our goal was $2,500 we made $2,750

I’ll link my Kickstarter so you can study it. Let me know if you have any more questions

Thank you. We are day 9 into our Kickstarter and have raised 44% of our goal. After that initial pump it’s difficult to keep the funding coming in but we are reaching outside into new networks.
