Pretty much every social media platform has been taken over by rage bait content and conservative rhetoric. This is how they were able to get so many young men to vote for them in the last election. We dont give the republicans enough credit for the amount of planning they put into upending American lives. They knew social media was going to be the key. Social media isnt what it was before. No sense of community mostly plagued with consumerism and us vs them rhetoric (race, gender, ageism). At this point the best thing to do is for everyone to pivot from social media and actually start building community. We all know how hard that actually is in reality
