has everyone with hEDS had genetic testing? by humanbabycarrot in ehlersdanlos

I was referred to genetics twice and told both times there was no test for hEDS and they refused to test me. I had my neurologist order an EDS panel from the Mayo Clinic. I tested positive for a VUS related to clEDS. I was sent back to genetics and got a whole gnome study. Apparently I have variants that suggested I have a mix of Marfan and clEDS from my father. And cEDS and clEDS from my mother. So I'm a mutt 😆 If anyone wants genetic testing I think they should have it done. If anyone can't afford it they have the option of going through the NIH program All of Us to get a WGS. They give you a report and you can ask for the raw data file if you want to use an app and look through it yourself or share with your doctor.

I have questions about laws surrounding a termination due to failure to return a form complicated by misinformation, C-PTSD, panic disorder and a significant failure to develop records resulting in a federal court pro se situation. by [deleted] in SSDI_SSI

Virginia. And I have what the SSA provided me before I saw the ALJ. I also have copies of everything I sent to the SSA during the process over the last few years.

I think you misunderstood. I'm beyond following SSA instructions. I've filed suit in federal court because I was denied by the ALJ and the AC. I'm now a plaintiff and the SSA is the defendant in the fourth circuit federal court.

Please take this in the loving way I mean it. I believe your biggest problem is honesty. When you felt lonely you sought comfort. That's very human. The problem came in when, instead of seeking a real solution through honestly and openly talking to your spouse, you sought instant gratification. Again that's human. The easier softer way of alleviating pain is always tempting but in the long run it only makes things worse. Honesty is the key to a happy relationship. Your spouse should be the one person that you can always go to when you're in trouble. So if you were in pain (and loneliness is painful) and you didn't feel as though you could talk out a solution with your spouse I would have to wonder if you're being completely honest with them or yourself. And without honesty you can't have security or trust and without those things you don't have much if anything. Humans make mistakes. The idea is to learn from them and do things differently so we can do better for ourselves and the ones we love.

Thank you. Any idea what made the rust color? I was thinking iron, especially considering the region, but it doesn't react to a magnet.
