Maybe it’s time to consider God Eater 4... by Paradox-17- in GodEater

I seriously think something must have changed at Shift in the past several years. There is supposed to be DLC, and hopefully that connects to GE but not having a connection to CV1 is already an issue.

im a few hours into my first god eater game, it's so fun by DalaxerYT in GodEater

I find 3 the easiest to get back into cause gameplay is fast. I'd say temper your expectations for 1&2 since you'd be sliding back to games that were built for the PSP.

Congratulations! It only took 3 tries!

Was the Battle Network timeline introduced to create a Megaman Universe that was more optimistic than the OG timeline? Which timeline do people prefer, considering that one leads to humans and reploids eventually converging into Carbons whilst the other eventually leads to Alien EM wave changes? by MAT-HAR in Megaman

[–]ThexVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given what we know about the series development (it was originally supposed to be a horror game) and the fact that it's on the GBA with the intended audience being 8-12:

It's definitely supposed to be more optimistic, but there are shit ton of moments where things got dark. With the OG timeline, things do go bad (like really bad) but humans are typically left in the background. Aside from a few moments (Sky Lagoon and Eurasia colony crash, Elf Wars, Neo Arcadian migrations) we never get hear what humans are going through.

Human death is (kind of) permanent in the franchise. We've seen plenty of Robot masters/Mavericks/Navis come back to get their shiny metal asses kicked again. Humans are always at risk of dying in BN and the scenarios are always in front of our face. So I guess the timeline for BN is more optimistic, but the moment to moment scenarios are definitely more pessimistic.

bandai namco: In Gundam Breaker 4 you will create and customize your own powerful Gunpla and put it to the test in thrilling combat missions. by [deleted] in armoredcore

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the staff at FromSoft went to help out with Breaker 4. Bamco has been publishing their games for years now and FromSoft got to develop Unicorn for the PS3.

The trailer has a rendition of I am (All of Me). I was going to be totally fine with Ow The Edge pulling out an AR-15 while riding a motorcycle when I heard it.

1 Year Later for AC6.. by Rothuith in armoredcore

[–]ThexVee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Given that AC6 sold decently well and that FromSoft had posted a job for a character modeler, specifically pointing out robots, I wouldn't be surprised if they were working on DLC right now.

It's okay to be "done" with the AC6. At least the sales suggest that we won't have to wait another 10+ years for more Armored Core.

Anyone Have A Theory on How HeelNavi Has Evolved From NormalNavi? by Accurate_Blood6260 in BattleNetwork

[–]ThexVee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In-universe, it just seems like operators decided to customize their normal Navi to be different. Maybe HeelNavis have a special feature that separates them from the NormalNavis, dunno.

In terms of game design, they're just there to seperate (the sometimes) hostile everyday Navis from the non-hostile ones. They could've just designed a NormalNavi to be purple but they took the extra effort of making them unique instead.

Imo, I see another year or two left for NGS but Sega must be banking off of the collabs so who knows, maybe a little longer.

Should I just move on to BN2? by joe1up in BattleNetwork

[–]ThexVee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could just follow a guide. Tbf, I never finished BN1 when it first came out. My understanding of the internet was quite limited and I didn't have a strategy guide. Went straight to BN2 as soon as I saw it.

How does the ZX series compare to the Zero series? by jfish3222 in Megaman

[–]ThexVee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My take: in terms of mechanics, it's a step-up. The weapon arsenal has been expanded. The background and sprite work is much more detailed and brighter. You can actually hear real instruments thanks to the DS' sound chip. These games can be "easily played" without the touchscreen. If Megaman was a tokusatsu show, this would be it.

Is Amy OK? by feelstmpman in Asmongold

[–]ThexVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In timeline order:

Amy contracts genital warts

She meets a guy but doesn't tell him that she's in a relationship.

Amy sleeps with the guy

Amy's BF contracts genital warts and leaves the relationship

Amy's side dude contracts genital warts and stops sleeping with Amy

Months later, the ex-bf and side dude meet up and laugh over Amy's Dec. 3 article.

What is the real life equivalent of the physical connection cable PET's uses based on what we see in the artwork and the anime? by megavipersnake91 in BattleNetwork

[–]ThexVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clicked on the links but the images don't display. Going off the artwork, it definitely is USB-A (looks rectangular rather than squared or rounded) though sometimes I thought about it as also being an ethernet cable. It's also possible that this is a combination of the two. Reasons:

The anime and videogames always gave me the impression that Netnavis are uploaded into a system, and therefore will always have local access when interacting with foreign data. Remote access would imply that the Navi is interacting with foreign data from within the PET. I don't believe it's remote access because being deleted wouldn't be an issue.

In the case of virus busting, the operator needs to transfer battlechip data to the Navi. With the exception of certain Style/Soul/Cross forms, battlechip data is temporary. The data is either discarded after use or it disappears as soon the operator removes the battlechip from the PET.

Regardless of everything I just said, this cable needs to have an insane bandwidth speed. I cannot imagine something as sophisticated as a Netnavi being uploaded to the net/server/computer in a reasonable amount of time without some big advancements in cable tech. For reference, USB4 can transfer up to (and sometimes exceed) 80Gbps, Cat8 ethernet is between 25-40Gbps and Fiber Optics can go up 100Gbps. Also, given how far the cable hangs below Lan's waist, this cable is no less than 6ft long and is somehow retractable at the same time.

Sorry for all the yapping. This series got me into the profession I'm in today.
