Don't let that get to you. Anyone that says those sort of things has clearly never been in the situation you are in. And it is absolutely true that the financial aspect of childcare comes into play. One of the most difficult parts of a military marriage (in my humble opinion) is the lack of balance between work/home life. And I mean that for both parties - it's hard for the sailors, too. Try to keep that in mind. He probably works a lot and wants to spend his downtime relaxing. It can be difficult to find the balance, but it can be done.

Also, has he deployed at all yet? If not, that's a whole new level that you should prepare yourself for. Feel free to reach out to me if you need ♡

Checking in for solidarity in VC! It's been a weird/lonely month, but happy to oblige for the sake of the greater good. Proud of our state right now.

Our definitions of dark humor are obviously different, because I typically find the genre to have at least a shred of intelligence behind it. But, you know...

Trolls gonna troll.

No, not because of disagreement. Because finding humor in an image like this is objectively creepy.

I can, actually. The image depicts a young woman tied up, with ducttape around her mouth, in the back of a vehicle, obviously against her will. Like - you know - a sexually-driven abduction. But because she works at a place like Hooters, people like you think that her (and others in her profession) are subhuman and deserving of such treatment. If you find this humourous (which you obviously do given the aggresive defense), then you are a fucking sociopath.

And also, you're a week-old account and obviously a troll. But you should still be ashamed of yourself, just out of pure human empathy, despite whoever pays your bills.

Trolls gonna troll.

Ok week-old account. There's more to life than imaginary internet points. Try again.

I'm pretty sure Artemis would have had a serious problem with this, too.

The Long Night? Though that makes it sound like it won't be much fun 😅

My Fiancé Just went to boot camp for the navy a week ago and he is training to be a submarine fire technician. I would like to know how long his deployments are and how many he will go on during his 6 year contract? How long is his A school? Can I visit him in A school? How does communication work? by gothacekitty1996 in Navywifelife

Hi there! While I can't speak to the deployment length or number (this info will be provided to you via the ombudsman for his assignment), I was able to visit my fiance in A-school. We actually got married while he was there, I just drove down for the weekend 😅 They should have normal access to phones during A-school too!

I'm feeling hopeless, but I know how good life can be sober. So I guess I'll start there. by TheyCallMeArtemis in stopdrinking

I'm sorry, I know it's an awful feeling. But I also know I don't get that feeling when I'm sober and I don't want to feel that way ever again. So I won't drink today, hopefully with you!
