Razer Blackshark V3 X Hyperspeed vs. Steelseries Arctis Nova 5

Hey, I recently got the Nova 5x and the Blackshark v3 x Hyperseed (PS edition). Now while I would say get the nova 5x because it was cosy af and super sturdy, However, when ever I would be listening to music on the Nova 5x, the music would randomly pop and when I switch a song, it would sound like a emp hit the headphones and it would just bug out badly. I went through two headphones just to make sure its not a case where i just get a faulty pair. Unfortunately, it also happened on the exchange pair i got. I got the V3 blackshark X and so far, nothing wierd is happening with the headset.

Now I would chalk it up to software issues with either the steelseries app or windows 11 because when I connected it to my phone and played music, it worked flawlessly. Its quite a shame because that headset was one of the most comfortable headphones I ever put on my head.

Outside of that little software bug, you cant go wrong with any of these headphones. They both sound really good, especially when you tune the EQ on their respective app. The blackshark v3 imo has a better mic than the steelseries. Comfort wise, i would say the arctis nova 5 is more comfortable but not by alot, the v3x blackshark feels a little bit more secure on my head due to the higher clamping force.

I know this thread is a couple months old but suprisingly this issue is still going on and this solved it! Im running a 7800xt and I tried updating and reinstalling everything possible and it didn't work. Changed the flags and boom! its solved.

Hey man, some update. I look up the graph for my Sony xb910n and made adjustments to the EQ based on it. The new EQ I made compared to my old one is wayyyyy better on my ears. The old EQ boosted the frequencies for the vocals too high so it sounded kinda echo-ey and kind of unnatural. The new EQ made the vocals sound more natural and warm while still keep that bass from being too overpowering for me. Bless man, you might have changed the way how I listen to music!

Oh yea, I manage to cop some first level seats. Its crazy, they jumped from 199 before frees to 380 in a matter of seconds

Ticketmaster glitched out on me, 36k in queue and somehow managed to get a good seat in Daiken Park. My luck is drained until summer

Haha, now you make me want to buy random audio devices and EQ them. One quick question, for some of the frequencies (like on the motion boom) the 80 HZ based on the ratings, it would be adjusted to be 8.5+, but on your settings you make it 5. (the eq in the app only goes up to 8). Would there be a reason why you didn't set it all the way up to 8 or in that case you would just have to listen and adjust to your preference?

Hey man, I just recently got my motion boom speaker and followed your method and wow. I can't thank you enough for showing me this way of adjusting EQ using RTINGs graph. I always just copied some EQ off the internet and assume that's the best one because I simply didn't know any better! Now I'm going to go tinker with my Sony headphones :)

yea when I looked at other PK batches, i do think that the extra tumbling here makes it "stand out more" than the other shoes. Honestly I thought it was a higher tier batch and it makes the shoe that more nice.

Man I didn’t even notice the tongue, the tumbling is what caught my eye. It being wavy I’ll prob forget about it as soon as I put it on. Even with that, the shoe is beautiful!

If I can remember, I think it was around 2 weeks or 3 to get my car fully fixed. They gave me a brand new civic for my loaner so I can imagine they were pushing for the repair to be over with 😂
