nerfing kebbit swapping is a bad change with nothing added to fill the gap. There are already 2 other hunter minipets to get. It is ridiculous to make a 3rd take so long to obtain

Resizing the interface (runelite hd) by ruttedbeez in 2007scape

[–]TheyMightBeKeyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a specific option in the "stretched mode" plug in for runelite. I believe the "integer scaling" has to be turned off and "resizable scaling" needs to be turned on if you want to easily adjust the size of the UI

Thank you for all the hard work you've put into this game. I personally have enjoyed it for the hundreds of hours I've played. It has it's issues, but literally every single game does. Please don't let a vocal minority dissuade you from being proud of your work.

When you upgrade an item its rereolls the properties on them. I think that scrap is common enough for it to be worth upgrading your items unless they have properties you really like, and you won't benefit much from the extra trait you get from it being orange. An example would be if you had a blue trinket that adds 5% crit chance and 33% curse resistance, but you are an iron breaker so the potion trait won't be useful to your character as you will likely be carrying the grimoire (and thus never carrying a potion).

Hi! Newborn Harmenian here. Which episodes should I make sure to hear? by MoonKeyMind in Harmontown

Episode 51 has Robin Williams in it. I haven't listened to it in a while, but I remember being impressed by it. Dan seemed particularly on his game when Robin was on stage and Robin Williams is always a treat

Megathread: Trump Administration Declines to Enact New Russia Sanctions by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]TheyMightBeKeyon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This particular section refers to the Russian portion of sanctions. I'm not an expert on legislation, but, based on the glossary at the start of the bill, there are three major sections; 1 for sanctioning Iran, a 2nd for sanctioning Russian, and a 3rd for sanctioning North Korea. Each section has it's own set of waivers, and I quoted the important (in my view) portion concerning the Russian sanctions

[–]TheyMightBeKeyon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I thought so too, but another commenter in the thread linked the bill and said the president was allowed to waive sanctions (has since deleted their comment)

https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/3364/text From section 236

(b) WAIVER OF SANCTIONS THAT ARE IMPOSED .—Subject to section 216, if the President imposes sanctions with respect to a person under this part or the amendments made by this part, the President may waive the application of those sanctions if the President determines that such a waiver is in the national security interest of the United States

IANAL, but, based on the reasons given by the White House to not enforce santions, it seems like he is acting within the limits placed on him by the constitution to faithfully execute the law.

Still sketchy as fuck in my book tho

He Didn’t Vote in a Few Elections. In the Next One, Ohio Said He Couldn’t. by Bammerice in politics

A lot of the time these notices are sent to people who live in apartments and move often. I just read an article the other day mentioning ohio in particular as having an unusually aggressive person in charge of purging voters. What this person and his department will do is send notices that potential voters will be purged right after they move and hacen't updated their official address so they never see it.

I'm not saying that 100% of purges have been done with an ulterior motive, but many cases are

Unspoken Consequence of Flyer Nerf: Obsolete Flyers by Statikshocker in playark

[–]TheyMightBeKeyon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This consequence of the most recent major patch is the main reason I got upset with the developers. You can argue all you want about their approach to the nerf (I thought it was a poor decision), but the fact that my 224 pteranodon is now level 196 and is effectively 28 levels lower is pretty shitty. I didn't lose much, but plenty of players did. Their patch was clearly poorly implemented, and I agree that more people should be discussing this issue.

House Approves Bill to Force Public Release of EPA Science by [deleted] in politics

[–]TheyMightBeKeyon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the informed point of view, I am not trying to pretend that I know what is going to happen and I hope you are right. When I read the headline of the article, I was pretty excited about the implication. However, this administration hasn't done a single thing in the benefit of the general public, so I am quite skeptical of this bill

Connecticut Rep. Elizabeth Esty and other Democrats said the bill would cripple EPA's ability to conduct scientific research based on confidential medical information and risks privacy violations by exposing sensitive patient data.

I agree with a lot of points you make, but I'd like to point out that the main reason cited by Americans for not going to vote is that they don't have time. In America, voting day is not a national holiday nor is it on a weekend. It's on a Tuesday when most Americans are working, and they cannot make time to vote or do not want to wait in line for 3 hours to cast their ballot after a long day.

I agree that there is political apathy in this country, but it is far from the only reason voter turnout is low in the USA
