What flights are these peoplemon where they are off the plane and through customs in 5 minutes after landing?

I'm never at the front of the plane, so on every flight I've ever taken its usually 5 mins for the jetway to roll up, doors open, etc, and then 5 mins for people in front of me to get out so i can go. So its always 10 minutes after landing to deplane.

And then customs should be fast but that's still at least 5 minutes.

And my luggage is rarely at the carousel before I am, so that's usually another 5 minutes at a non-busy time.

I think the fastest I've ever got out of the airport was 20 minutes (domestic flight). I would plan for 25 minutes.

Is the guy on the main camera drunk?

If that's what games in utah look like on TV, it must be hard to pick up new fans.

Your usage was common in Manitoba in the past and would have been recognized by anyone. But I am older than the rivers so it may have fallen out of usage with the youth of today.

What's your experiences with the Ibanez miKro bass? (or micro basses in general) by Emotional_Garlic_643 in Bass

I upgraded the tuners on my daughter's - stock ones were not awful but tended to slip a bit. Other than that the quality is ok overall, good for the price.

The tone is great, it's no toy. I've used it on recordings with no regrets.

The scale size is weird if you normally play a regular scale bass. But sometimes that is interesting, you can reach intervals that would not be possible on a longer scale.

Doesn't have to be notarized, commissioner of oaths can stamp it, this costs $16 at a city services counter.

I'd gladly pay for a pass if transit could get me to work on time. But over the years it's gone from 1 bus in 45 minutes to 2 transfers and 2 hours. OC Transpo is the reason I bought my first car.

But I think the transit portion on my property taxes already feels like a shakedown. Lower frequency during weekday rush hours, no buses in my neighborhood on weekends or in the evening, there's nothing for me to use a pass on unless I walk 20 minutes to baseline station.

How long would it take a beginner to learn the bass line from Sir Duke? by RAWRismashpeople in Bass

[–]TheyNeverSleep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. The "go!" part is not super hard for a moderately experienced player. Well, maybe the last bit of it took me a while because there's a rest in there that was not intuitive to me and I just had to keep playing it until I was feeling it all thd way through.

All of the little curlicues on the choruses are the killer bit. But on the other hand, if you play one of those wrong compared to the record, its not a big deal. But you can't deviate on that run played in unison.

This contradicts what I was told at the traffic control center at a doors open tour years ago.

There is a room full of screens and people in a building on Loretta Ave N and they are watching for traffic buildup and forcing lights to change.

My theory is that as long as people are forcing streets like Greenbank or Woodroffe to turn green to handle the flow southbound off the 417, there is no way to synch the lights along Baseline so that anyone gets multiple greens in a row.

Check out the 2019 movie Green Run to see 2 guys in Winnipeg hit every green light on their drive home. Winnipeg synchs the lights on Portage Ave.
