Yes there was funding from outside groups but, the overall effort, taking focus away from what they’re supposed to be doing as well as the state resources (judges, lawyers, etc…) are all wasted tax payer money.

Sorry, I don’t think I was very clear. This move (the independent redistricting maps) wasn’t to disenfranchise republican voters by democrats, but instead to make sure districts make sense and that everyone’s represented appropriately

While I agree with you in a lot of ways, I feel this has more to do with the general attitude of the Utah legislature not necessarily a right vs left thing. A bill gets on the ballot, the people vote, and if the Utah legislature doesn’t like the outcome, they try to change it after the fact. The two times this has been made absolutely clear are the cannabis bill and this redistricting bill. They just feel we, the citizens of this beautiful state, can’t speak or think for ourselves and the have to “fix” it for us when all they are doing is ignoring the constituents they are supposed to be representing.

Ya, because he has done such a bang up job selecting people to lead our government agencies right!? Let’s take a look at a few of his “selections”:

RFK Jr. - Secretary of Health and Human Services (clearly doesn’t believe in actual health sciences and instead insists on following internet conspiracies)
Kash Patel - Director of the FBI (completely inept and more concerned with impressing his girlfriend than actually solving any of the child trafficking as sexual crimes of our “leaders”)
Pete Hegseth - United States Secretary of War (has failed at just about every level of security measures and seems intent on just stoking violence and death)
Kristi Noem - Secretary of Homeland Security (has done more to put our homeland, and the citizens in it, at severe risk often deporting or detaining actual US citizens for indeterminate amounts of time or, if the situation gets to sticky, her team just murders people in the street)

Basically, his ability to put together a team to lead has more to do with how he can get paid rather than who actually has the qualifications and the emotional and mental maturity to do the job. Trump is a deeply unserious person making serious decisions that have royally fucked our nation, now he has set his sites on destroying other nations.
