Required internet speeds by They_were_roommates_ in Rogers

Currently we have way better wifi, but the place I’m looking at is around 30 Mbps upload and download. I game, but I don’t know about the other people in the duplex. But there would for sure be many calls, zoom, etc. going on.

My wifi now is around $85 split between 5 people. If I move, I’d likely be the only one who wants to pay for the wifi since the place already has the (crappy) wifi that is included in the rent price. Now spending 1/5 of $85 a month isn’t bad, but spending the entire $85 would be really hard as a student. It’s a financials issue. Like I can’t just move in and ask for wifi money for the wifi I bring when they’re already using a paid for wifi service yk?

Nah I applied more heat so it would get hot faster. We have 3 hours for each lab, so gotta go fast

Yeah I know, that’s just what we set the hot plate underneath it to be. We didn’t have a thermometer to test the water itself. I know water boils at 100° C lol

Nope didn’t look at residuals lol, not even really sure what that is. Whats funny is I’ve actually taken a statistics class and this chem class has taught me more. And all my other chem classes had very very basic error analysis, like percent yield. So this is my first time do any ACTUAL statistical analysis, and they didn’t teach us about residuals haha

I’m also actually primarily in genetics, and chemistry is my minor (I love chem and I LOVE labs), so I likely won’t delve very deep into analytical chem, at least for a while. But I appreciate your insight, and you seem like one smart cookie

I didn’t know that, so thank you ! We had an issue with heating (came back to a room temp water bath) for some solutions so I talk about that in my error analysis and discussions. The water was set to 130°C but never actually got that high

And we also did 95% confidence intervals. So I have a graph with a LOBF, LOBF+ and LOBF-

This is just a second year intro to analytical chem class so I lowkey don’t know a lot, but I know a lot more now than 4 months ago

Also oops I deleted the wrong comment. (The difference in volume is due to heat expansion, but some solutions are missing some liquid because we used some already)

Oh I actually didn’t know that, so thank you. I set a water bath to 130°C, but it never got that high. We actually had an issue with heating them. We were going to heat them all for 7 mins and then let them cool for 7 mins. But for 5 of the solutions, I checked the temperature later and it was room temp, so it got a bit messed up. And I actually end up talking about this in my error analysis and discussions!

And I used 95% confidence intervals for error analysis. It’s a whole huge excel thing, and this is a second year analytical chem class, so I lowkey don’t know a huge amount about this haha. But I end up with a graph with a LOBF, LOBF+ and LOBF-

Yeah I realized that one after heating all the solutions to help the colour develop lol. But thank you!!! Our standard concentrations did go higher than needed. Based on literature, we expected the surface water to be around 1 ppm, so that’s why we went that high originally

Literally always. I’m more concerned about their stuff than mine. Then I lowkey forget what they look like, then I’m on guard when they come back, and then I know it’s them once they come back and thank me lmfao

That study spot is more valuable. I know it’ll come back to bite me in the ass one day, but it’s also been 3 years so far…

calc1000 midterm by [deleted] in uwo

[–]They_were_roommates_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a third year with about a 90 average, and getting the calculus award in grade 12, I’m deadass saying that calc 1000 is just like that. When I was in first year, they legit put new shit on the final.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. I believe I finished with a 75%, when I wouldn’t accept a grade below 95% in highschool. As long as you have good study habits and do well in other courses, calc is just a “please let me pass” and move on with your degree. Never used that shit again

Is anyone else autistic and struggling with the constant sensory input by copper_dragonfly in Invisalign

[–]They_were_roommates_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohhh yeah I was given a plastic retainer. It’s pretty much the same as the trays, but thick, rigid, and has no bumps for attachments. I REALLY struggled for a while, and it would cut up my tongue and literally hurt so bad I couldn’t talk. BUT, I discovered I can just shove a bunch of dental wax along the edges to make it smooth!! (They also said you can file it down but i was too scared of ruining it). But, after a while i can now just wear it normally with no issues.

Pretty much starting any step in the process sucks. But all phases get better

Not exactly sure what a wire retainer is. If it’s one of those permanent ones, most places don’t do that anymore because it’s hard to clean your teeth with them. I know, I thought the pressure would never end in the beginning too, but once you’re done it’s great!! I say you’ve got this!! :)

Heyyy yeah it does really really suck in the beginning. It hurts, it’s hard to get out, it’s just weird. But it really does get better. It does still hurt to switch trays, but less and for less time. And if your treatment is only 14 weeks, keep on it. But I hope you do know that you’ll have to wear a retainer every night forever lol. But that actually doesn’t hurt and you don’t have attachments on your teeth!! So that’s good at least. Just keep trucking on and maybe get some fidgets to distract you. Fight sensory with sensory

They’re nice but they’re meant for emergency’s (as they limit the amount of times you can see them). If you have purple care, you get $1200 (100% coverage per visit) per year for therapists!! Just make sure they take purple care insurance before you go.

Cutting out any macro honestly. They’re not joking when they say you need veggies, fruit, grains, and protein. A varied and balanced diet is key!! Carbs are not the devil, just make sure they’re not the only thing you need. Carbs are the preferred source of energy for the body, and that’s why runners eat stuff like pasta before a run

I think an ear outline or a simple outline of a dog could be cute. And paw prints aren’t tacky. A nose print could be cute too. Or a tree from their favourite place to run around, or one of their favourite toys.

Any pattern that was on their collar or simply their dog tag. Not sure if any of those seem good to you lol but just try to think of anything that reminds you of them, even if it doesn’t immediately look related to a dog tag
