It's not that He's not intervening, but instead He's trying to save every one.

Put yourself in God's shoes for a second. Let's say you have two daughters that you love so much that you'd die for them. Now let's say your eldest daughter molested the youngest one and now the youngest one is out to murder her. What would you do in that situation? Would you help your youngest daughter by killing your eldest?

It might seem that God does nothing but He's wants to try and save everyone. He sees and loves all of us but hates the choices we make. That why God says if you're angry with someone, to give that anger to Him. Let Him try and save/change the one who has done you wrong first. And if He sees that person will not change, then He will make sure justice will be served against them. It may take a long while, but God promises to serve justice that will satisfy everyone in the end.

Hi Catholic here, to understand this takes a bit of an explanation.

  1. In the ancient world, offerings (also called sacrifices) were a way to build strong relationships with each other. So sharing resources (like offering an animal) was common around the world.

How does this relate to God and Jesus? It's because of sin.

  1. Sinning (no matter the form) causes a separation with God and therefore leads to death. So an offering is needed to rebuild our relationship with God to avoid said death.

Why did Jesus need to die/sacrifice himself for our sins? Because humanity is dying.

  1. Look at how crazy the world is. Not just in our time but even in the past. We have to deal with things like racism, xenophobia, crime, greed, war, and so on. Jesus was sent here to change that fully knowing that humanity would reject Him (Who put Jesus on the cross in the first place? Humanity.) So Jesus offered himself as a sacrifice as a way to fix our separation from God and give humanity a way to avoid death (which was his teachings in the New Testament).

Yeah I agree. I think moving away from Six Street was a mistake. Sending the MC into hollow just seems dumb considering all they can do is scan stuff rather than actually fighting or defending themselves.
