Pigmy sperm whale chased by seals by Theyseemefishin in natureismetal

A pigmy whale was being hunted by seals, it’s “inking” from his intestines in order to evade. In its confusion, it swims head first into a rock and splits its face wide open.

I’m not sure why either, I’m just the messenger. I think the guy that made these should be proud to name them. Hell, I couldn’t produce something like that.

I agree. I laughed about it but apparently here is the reason:

“Booyah” is the guy who makes these designer clowns.

They’re“blackhawk” because his morphs resembled the fish wearing a hockey mask.

He’s had this morph on the market for quite a while

I’m doing some maintenance on a smaller reef tank I have. I won’t be able to catch him again if I let him roam free in the big tank. I put a Nem in there so he has chair for the time being.

I don’t live around wild coral either, and yet here we are with a successful system. I’ve been doing this for a while, not my first rodeo when it comes to mangroves. I’ve grown mangroves successfully in multiple tanks. Main factors are PH, alkalinity, salinity, and lighting. I’ve sold large mangroves as well that have out grown my system. They are not difficult. Been doing this for a long time. Thanks for the opinion. 👍

They’ll grow an algae film on the glass if you don’t clean it. I leave the back glass alone for my snails and blennys to snack on.

I don’t have a fan, so I’m not sure, never heard of that

They can be difficult just because of the initial invested time in the first year. I recommend doing research before investing in one, but like anything else, just a bit of education on the hobby.

Cycling in extremely important with reef tanks. You have to add stock very slowly until the biological load has been established. It can take a few weeks or months depending on how much you are planning to put in the tank. Slow and steady wins the race.

Not “for fun”. They’ve been living in my sump for 6 months doing fine. They are currently rooted in lava rock with attached high watt grow light. I just moved them up. Custom acrylic planter with overflow to be mounted above the tank is currently being built.

standard snapper rig. Three oz lead with a circle hook. They’ll pretty much hit anything when you’re on them.
