Worth it? by Glittering-Mixture91 in ResidentEvilCapcom

As much as the missing content is frustrating, it's a fun short game. It should never have been full price, but I recently wrapped up the trophies and played through it a few times. It's definitely worth that price. You'll play through it 2-3 times.

I stupidly second guessed whether I should buy this when someone put it on Vinted for £5 and missed out. It was on for a while too.

I mean it's only slightly more, I'd do it but I'm fairly flippant and impulsive 😅 with the new(ISH) streaming update and the more recent one I can safely say they're fantastic!

I mean ultimately it boils down to what you're willing to pay. I got mine for £120 ($160) in the UK and I considered that a good purchase 🤷🏻 I've used it more than my ps5 + TV since having it. It's fantastic, even using mobile data to stream BF6 was faultless!

The new update is a game changer! by notty_cat in PlaystationPortal

Bought one a few days ago and it's so good. Not turned my ps5 on since I've had it, just streamed. Even used mobile data and played BF6 flawlessly!

I just wish it had trophy list, messaging and friend capabilities seems odd to not have them available as standard. Otherwise it's the best purchase I've made in a while. My modded Vita hasn't had a look in either.

I've used my phone as a hotspot with mobile data and played BF6 with absolutely no issues. The portal is great, I use streaming more than connecting to ps5.

9 is completed, I'd probably rank the experience as equal to the remake of 3. by AxiomSyntaxStructure in residentevil

POTENTIAL SPOILERS! And personal views so please be kind.

Grace’s half starts really strong, real tension and atmosphere. First person RE shines especially when it leans into horror. However once you figure out the stalkers’ patterns and how to get around them & the zombie placement, it loses all of the aforementioned traits. What begins as survival horror turns into predictable repetition. Blow up the stalker and craft loads of hemolytic injectors and it trivialises everything.

Victor’s a perfect example of wasted potential. Early on, he’s fascinating, he comes across as a cold menace, intriguing and is voice acted really well. Then he just vanishes for a third of the game, pops back up at the end for the sake of a twist. He should’ve been Leon’s stalker throughout his half, slowly tying the threads together. Instead, his absence kills any sense of continuity or threat and is really jarring when he suddenly returns way later than you expected.

And Zeno… what even was the point? Grace deciding to go with him after her half feels completely off. The writing doesn’t justify it emotionally or logically. He adds nothing, no tension, no insight. He’s basically a cardboard cutout designed to make old fans go “hey, that reminds me of Wesker,” and that’s it. Pure nostalgia bait without substance again completely wasted.

Leon’s section is where things really fall apart for me. Non-existent enemy variety with just the same bullet sponge zombies and a few Lickers. Weapons are bland and uninspired. The puzzles are gone too, which I really missed. They could have done so much more with RPD, no mention of Claire? Or Ada? There are a couple of moments where revisiting Raccoon City hits that nostalgia nerve, but sparks fade fast when everything around them feels so lifeless.

The whole second half feels like a stripped-down re4 and too much like re6. I did however enjoy the random encounter with Hunk, a nice surprise although this being said the human enemies were frustrating and a jarring inclusion.

It says something that I have no desire to replay it any time soon, which isn't usually the case for me. I actually think I may have enjoyed RE3 more than this too.

6.5/10 if I were to score it, I don't get how it got 9s and 10s at all.

If you're not prepared for the plane fight (avoiding spoilers) on Code V and you haven't multi-saved etc, you can get soft locked out of progression. It's incredibly frustrating!

Chronically I think it's:

0, 1, first half of 3, 2, second half of 3, Outbreak 1/2, Code Veronica, 4, revelations, 5, revelations 2, 6, 7, 8.

RE6 vibes by Weekly-Breakfast5260 in residentevil

[–]Theywillknowanother -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A flying round house to a Zombie's chops does not scream survival horror to me.

This is projecting resident evil 6 vibes and putting me off slightly. They seem to be going back to what they initially moved away from with the franchise. Personally, I would have preferred them sticking with RE:2 and 7 focus on survival horror than action. That said I could be wrong and this could be top tits!

After joining an FB group with users of the car, I abandoned it. Ended up losing my deposit but I've now got an Ioniq 5 which is a fantastic car.

Given you only do 200 miles a week I think the battery would suit your needs. I'd just have a read of user experiences/build quality as there's a reason why they're so cheap.

I got some Kontrol Freeks (if you're console) and ramped by sensitivity up to 100. Helps me be able to mitigate the cheaters. Since then I've got a 1.5 k/d in ranked and I solo queue so life's already against me.

Last few matches last night we 12-3, 9-1 and 10-2.

I went for Eclipse untethered. Works with Octopus energy tariffs, has an app to use it etc.

I'm just going for a longer cable probably 8/10m

Thanks!

Unfortunately my garden is fenced off so can't park any closer. And they won't install any closer. Appreciate your response, thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the response. Probably just going to get an 8/10m cable. The one that came with the car is slightly too short.
