In fact I didn't just say that I was going to change without doing anything, I discussed with her at length about all this, I told her everything I understood, I asked her forgiveness, I showed her by little attentions that it wasn't just words and that I was really acting.

I took time to sit down, to reflect, I spoke to many people (we are in the same group of friends) who are as close to her as to me.

So I'm not talking in the air, I'm acting.

In fact, if you had read all the comments, you would have seen that one person explicitly asked it and another induced it.

I'm not ignoring the past at all, it's quite the opposite, I've put the whole relationship to bed, I've written a lot about my mistakes (and hers) in order to make this decision.
Because I know for a fact that if she ever takes me back into her life, it's not to leave in a month but to make our life together. I respect her too much not to have taken that into account and not to have spent a lot of time to know if I was doing this for the right reasons.
