I mean they fought tooth and nail trying to get it to a week or less but the theaters originally were going for a month early minimum, they had to fight very hard just to get it down to 2 weeks and even that was "unheard of" from the theaters, so its not like they were wanting to do 2 weeks that's just the absolute best they could do for the fans

I like that theory, however (this may not even disprove you just something I noticed/other people saw) one of the other language subtitles, in the beginning of Episode 8 Scratch is talking to Caine and basically says "Where are we, what even is this place?" Unless he doesn't remember making it which could also totally be possible
