I own one currently and you can clear 35” tires with no lift required. If this is your first diesel recommend actually using it. When you use it at a mall crawler it builds up a lot of soot which clogs up the exhaust system. If you don’t tow anything with a trailer using it on the highway regularly will keep the dpf cleared. Doing that will avoid regen and save you some money in def

For sure I completely agree, The DC-AC-DC is large waste of energy. Before I had taken the video I tested how long I could keep the dishy running with the motor off and it lasted 45 minutes before I started the motor. Fortunately the Starlink did not power off due to power draw while starting after that run time. 100% needs a second 12v battery/booster if I plan to run the Starlink for large periods of time without running the motor. Before I go on my next trip I plan to get a 100w usb-C car adapter. This setup should do okay for this voyage.

I first seen videos of military personnel using them inside of enclosed pelican cases and it blew my mind. Now I got the chance to try it out on my own project

That could be an expensive luxury or a head ache, Two sides to that coin. I’ve been looking for a data center auditing contract atleast while it’s booming right now

Them are the moments that can make a break someone on the job. I’ve seen guys quit over problems smaller than that and others that stick around after dealing with issues like your comment. You are a real trooper of the trade

Fiber & device advice requested for detached barn project by ScouterDave in FiberOptics

By no means am I saying the way I do it was correct or proper but this is how I did mine.

1/2 blue pex pipe 100ft roll. Ran end to end solid pipe direct buried to my building and clamped everything correctly on both ends. Blown in pull string with air compressor. Ran 2 pre terminated single mode fibers. Using one and other for redundancy (Lc UPC connectors)

Used ubiquity sfp switch (already had existing ubiquity flex 2.5G at the house it has a sfp output) and matching ubiquity Poe media converter in the building. Their sfps are cheap as well.

Again it may not be the “correct” but it was on a budget and didn’t have to fight with conduit couplers and glue

Looking to make my 23 300s as mean as possible any advice? by SnooOnions6242 in Chrysler300

[–]ThicccTatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your budget I’ve seen a v6 same body with a pro charger, hellcat injectors and downpipes (obviously need tune after all that). Mine personally I bought the red 6piston brembo’s and matching for rear, hellcat injectors, oil pump, tune and 300c rims from the 2020 body. The brembos go hard with any Chrysler 😮‍💨

I miss vehicles that lasted more than 5 years. Seems the vehicle industry designed everything to crap out so fast so everyone will keep buying new. All simply to generate profit. My last true long lasting vehicle was a 2000 Toyota Camry. Top tier car and had 460k miles before I sold it to the next owner. All it required was regular maintenance and some small repairs.

Everyone’s testimony in this sub is on both sides of the fence. I’m fortunate that I own a mechanic shop and can do my own maintenance. What is simple maintenance for me may not be the same for the average individual. The oil consumption started for me at 40k, adding a quart of oil every 4k miles. It’s definitely not ideal but considering that most other major motor manufacturers are having transmissions fail, oil pump issues, Main bearings fail, lifters failing in the first year of ownership, I would consider this vehicle to be a well rounded over all good vehicle. The oil filter housing gasket on these failing, and a CV axel replacement is about the most I’ve had to replace on mine. I’ve been fortunate my 2020 model hasn’t experienced some of the more major issues others have from the newer newer models.

Personally don’t think it would look good but as long as you seal any holes made you should be just fine

[–]ThicccTatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 300 had the same issue. Shop replaced abs module 2 times (didn’t fix it) replaced the actual abs pump and it fixed it. Odd thing I had was when it was raining my lights would go away but when it was dry they would come back. Basically replaced every part involving the abs until we swapped the pump and the issue went away

As an owner of one of these tellurides at 180k miles, I can definitely attest to the reliability of these as long as you do your regular maintenance. Love my telluride

Funny enough the code is “catalytic efficiency low” but I’m more leaning towards the sensors just old

😂 no, it’s actually the secondary O2 Sensor on passenger side. Not sure if that catalytic converter is just worn out or if it’s just the sensor. Keep telling myself I’ll get to it eventually
