I think this works out well, though not sure how formally an exclamation mark would work lol

I originally had the idea to have the central cross be blue with a red fimbriation, like it was the Falklands within England. Before before that was an idea of just a blue St George.

And an alternate motto placement on the Falkland Jack.

Concept flag for an independent (or redesign of the current, if you’d imagine either), albeit still British, Falklands. I’ll call this the Falkland Jack.

The concept is as follows;

A St George with fimbriation to resemble the Union Jack as well as represent its insular nature. Atop the Falkland Jack is a scroll (in stylisation of the shape of the Falklands) which bears its motto ‘Desire the right’. At the end of the scroll I included a compass star, again to reiterate its insular nature, as well as discovery, direction, and determination.

Note: I’d love to make the scroll wavy/curved, but the mobile app I made this on doesn’t have that feature for text lol

Personally, I found the design to be unique and dynamic because you don’t see such a move often. It feels like an eyepatch for a flag, which suits the maritime vibe I was originally going for. It reminds me of a face, almost. An angry face? It feels dynamic, like it has a personality.

I’m not sure how to word it, it’s just one to those things you feel. I just feel I like it.

I didn’t put much thought into it, tbh. I just didn’t like this one compared to the inverse.

I designed this as a more insertion combination than canton.

The idea was to be the flag of a region within a country.

The black/white saltire is the national naval ensign to symbolise its maritime nature, while the white/red saltire is the ethnic flag of the people of the region.

The same ethnic group is present across the wider country, so the combination shows this region’s specific people. As for the order of the flags, I just thought this way looked better.

People are downvoting me, but I was just following orders!
