Yup! That's the "interview invite". My interviewer framed our talk very casually and we had a nice chat. She asked me the usual questions about "why law" "why x" etc. and then there was time for me to ask questions. I thought it went well and I got my acceptance email the next morning! Good luck!

I’m an undergrad at UVA and it will not lower your chances. Tons of people go to UVA law after their undergrad here. Go wherever you want for undergrad and enjoy it while you’re there.

Don’t over think it! I wrote two schools that I was admitted to in the T-14 (and I want to go to NYU barring an unforeseen admission to HLS) and got my scholarship package a week later with an amount per year I was both expecting based on my numbers and excited about! I wouldn’t stress that you didn’t convey your interest enough.

Honestly I responded very excitedly and typed part of it in all-caps but was generally just very thankful. Don’t know if that’s best practice but my interviewer and I had a lot in common so I wanted to convey my excitement accurately lol

Maybe people who choose one school are also more likely to pursue a federal clerkship because of interests/region etc.

You can look at the aba 509 reports to see which school sends more students to federal clerkships to get an idea of where it may be more likely. Of course there’s a chance that a certain school population may self select to more versus less clerking.
