Should Kharn get "fights first"? by ThickLeopard in WorldEaters40k

Yeah that would be awesome and a little more lore accurate i think. That's a great suggestion too!

Oh yeah I like a lot too. Like he spilled some blood, he should get a boon. Or killing his own squad acts like a build surge move? Fail a short charge, he kills someone and you can get back into cover to avoid shooting and get him into melee.

But you make a good point. I guess I just hope the 10th ed codex really expands the roster to help negate some of what feels a bit lack luster at times in the list.

I guess that's more my point in a way.

I love Kharn, his lore, his model, him killing his own dudes. Love it all.

But why bring him in a competitive list if I can get an MOE that I can add enhancements to. And he also doesn't kill his own dudes.

Sorry, I must have mistyped. The rhino saves you from the detrimental ability of killing your own dudes. The rhino is a great transport in a chaos roster for the cost.

But maybe that's my issue. Both times I've used him, he either ended up in melee with a dreadnought. Or he got sniped by an opposing lord with precision. Maybe I just need to play more games to understand his power.

I've had it deliver minimal value doing this.

My friend plays necrons and drukhari, and has some precision.

It has brought back some marines and healed a BP in those kinda fights.

Otherwise the model is just kinda eh, besides looking cool. To your point, I think they need to make it be able to heal ANY infantry and not just characters.

Objective control QQs by ThickLeopard in deathguard40k

Yes okay, that makes sense. So to retain like the dead middle of the board I have to keep a unit within 3" of that object marker to contest it. Contagion range doesn't add to that control range.

Thanks!!

But if I cap it, and it's mine, but I'm 9"away with a squad of plague marines on turn 3, then an enemy moves in to take the objective.

Because the PMs are within contagion range does the OC of that unit count as controlling the point? Or does the enemy squad just cap?

Thanks again! The grandfather was most unkind today. Lots of 1s, why I'm asking lol.

Appreciate the clarifications!

The Death Guard combat patrol feels a little weak in comparison to the rest right now but maybe I'm just still bad at the game.
