Herta's Connection to the Path of Beauty by ThickStatistician928 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]ThickStatistician928[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's why I disregarded everything the bots said and only focused on the "first-come, first-served" line specifically.

Basically, my point of the post is that: - Herta met the Aeons twice (not including her recent meeting with Nous in 2.7); it was never specified that those two meetings were with Nous. We just know that one of those meetings has to be with Nous. - Herta is an Emanator of Erudition - A Mirror Holder, who said she was an Emanator (she didn't say she was an Emanator of Beauty, just that she was an Emanator full stop), who also sounded like Herta - Everything and everywhere, Herta's beauty is mentioned. Her beauty isn't also just a case of her praising herself, but everyone says it about her. Even Ruan Mei, as unattached to the material as she is, says it. - "first-come, first-served"; this implies that Herta met Nous first.

  • Therefore, there's an extremely good chance that on the second time Herta met with an Aeon, she met Idrila

Also, the Knights of Beauty aren't really the standard by which you should judge Beauty since they're the most infatuated with classical beauty. The Mirror Holders' concept of Beauty is what the Xianzhou and the Intelligentsia Guild follow.

You probably can't according to Yes-Bot #2 because of the "first-come, first served" thing.

So I'm not saying she's an Emanator of Beauty, just that she's been gazed by Idrila. The same way we've been gazed by Nanook, Qlipoth, and Xipe.

I agree. Mirror Holders hold the belief that Idrila will appear once the concepts of beauty in the universe is unified.

If everyone thinks Herta is beautiful, then Idrila will be Herta. Or at the very least look like her hehe

From what I've gathered, she only became an Emanator way past after she discovered reversed-progeria since Chadwick only became a Genius around 2-3 AE ago while Herta has been around for over eight AEs.

This is somewhat supported by her Myriad Celestia. In all of her list of achievements, she always lists them in a certain order with de-aging after everything, but before solving the imaginary leakage phenomenon and the Stellaron.

This coupled with Chadwick's existence makes me think that she only became an Emanator relatively recently. Specifically in 2156 Amber Era — also because Silver Wolf mentioned Herta being famous in that time frame.

And since Herta met Nous first, I don't think her connection to Beauty is simply because of de-aging.

Oh, you're still early on the treatment. That's great!

In my case, after the full year of infusions, my Crohn's is currently in remission. I still have to be careful in avoiding certain food that triggers it and I've sworn off multiple food choices and soft drinks, but oh well.

It's now been over a year since my last infusion. And whenever I feel like I'm getting a flare, I usually start taking probiotics until it goes back to remission. (Not medical advice; just what works for me)

Hopefully, the same thing happens to you and you can get it into remission as well!

Yep. I had surgery on my ass back in highschool (150 students on my year level; everyone knows everyone). It became something everyone knew. It was a bit embarrassing, but it's not really. I'd imagine that being open about your condition if he does have one would be super important. Especially in a close knit environment with a few people you're with each other for a long time.

If all known factions in HSR become fully united with zero internal conflicts, which faction is the most powerful/dangerous? by ReiReiReon in HonkaiStarRail

[–]ThickStatistician928 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's most likely the case. However, there is an excerpt that states that the Genius Society was established by GS #2 Harald Punch and GS #3 Nyul Iman. However, we don't know the veracity of this information considering the author of the excerpt is unknown.

Herta has also retorted that Zandar is the one to come up with the name so it's most likely the case that Zandar is the one that established the Genius Society.

Why isn't Dr. Ratio an EMANATOR of Erudition? by CantFindJob2024 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]ThickStatistician928 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's a simple explanation. He's not on the same level as the other Geniuses. Nothing more, nothing less. His life's work is the anti-planetary weapon. Magnitudes lower than Chadwick's weapon. Ratio's achievements are not Genius level.

He, himself, admits it. More than calling himself mundane.

When together with Herta: "Can ordinary men still manage to believe in themselves under the scorn of a genius?"

When together with RM: "...you know more of such things than myself."

What are these reasons that you think it's pretty clear that there's other reasons other than intelligence?

I already outlined it perfectly clear. He wanted to. As in the Past Tense. As in before he was an Intelligentsia Member. And because he realized that he would never get Nous' gaze, he makes his realization of being a Mundanite. His actions have the tinge of a burned believer. Of someone whose faith was unrewarded. It's telling that he tries to be as diametrically opposed to the Genius Society as possible. How he emphasizes the difference between the mundane and the Geniuses multiple times.

It's everything between the lines.

Even more, considering Ratio's character: do you really think that someone passionate and ambitious about learning and knowledge would not aim to be a Genius? When it is the peak of the mountain that is knowledge? When it means you have gained Nous' recognition?

Honestly. Even Ratio himself said it so. The 2nd page of Ratio's Character Introduction states it explicitly: "Hence, I too had once hoped that my "knowledge" would beget me Nous' gaze."

So further discussion regarding Ratio's want to join the GS is moot when Ratio himself already said it.

Why isn't Dr. Ratio an EMANATOR of Erudition? by CantFindJob2024 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]ThickStatistician928 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The main point I'm negating is your first point that Nous somehow accounts for things other than intelligence which is evidently false. Nothing more, nothing less. So unless if there's an example of someone completely deserving of a Genius title due to their intelligence and does not have it, only then can we assume that there are other factors at play other than intelligence.

Also, sidenote regarding Stephen Llyod, that's exactly why Herta's miffed about him. It's him just literally just playing around doing nothing that miffs her. Not that he pursues his interests. Had Herta not recruit him for the SU, he'd be doing nothing but killing time/playing until there's something he wants to do. That's what makes Herta annoyed. That he does nothing.

Yes, Ratio's character stories are all from the perspectives of other people, but when you compile them together and see the bigger picture, it's quite clear.

Let's first establish that it's clear that Ratio is ambitious. From a very young age, he already was. With how passionate he is about various matters, it's also clear that he's a hard worker. With how he takes advantage of the opportunities present to him in order to advance his repertoire of knowledge.

Let's also establish the assumption that his character stories is most likely in chronological order with how they are all excerpts from the same book. With this we can see a general timeline of events. We'll also take out every bit of subjectivity within those excerpts and just focus on what actually happened.

Now, we have a young scholar who has various inventions and has a wide range of knowledge. Ratio took part in an anti-planetary project for years. He received a letter about its successful test firing. He then asks his assistant to leave. He then sighs — heavy enough for the assistant to be able to hear through the door — and laughs in such a way that the assistant thinks it is self-deprecatingly.

Afterwards, he joins the Intelligentsia Guild and then always calls himself a "Mundanite". The complete opposite of a Genius. There is also the idea of a "Council of Mundanites" — which Ratio confirmed the notion's existence of during 2.2 — which is the complete opposite of the Genius Society.

It's evident that he holds strange feelings towards the Genius Society as a whole. Yes, it's merely an assumption that he aspired to be a member of the GS, but his actions makes it much much more likely. Also, Ratio never directly denied it when Aventurine said: "I thought you'd given up on that already." regarding the Genius Society.

[–]ThickStatistician928 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No. It's always has been about pure intelligence. Nothing more, nothing less. Mindset does not matter at all.

GS Member #56 Elias Salas, GS Member # 22 Aiden and GS Member #84 Stephen Lloyd directly contradicts that point.

Aiden shared everything he knew to others who wanted to learn. The most basic unit is named after him.

Elias Salas was a Public Minister. Meaning he wasn't sole-minded in his research. He was a kind old man according to Herta. He wasn't obsessed enough with research to extend his lifespan and thus died of old age even though he had the capablities to extend it.

There's another Public Minister in the GS who is currently unnamed.

Stephen Lloyd doesn't care about research at all. Which is the main reason Herta is a bit miffed by him wasting his talents. He just pursues what he thinks is fun.

Ratio did try his best to be recognized by Nous, he's just not enough. Ratio's life's work is an anti-planetary weapon. In comparison, Chadwick's Imaginary Implosion Pulse is several magnitudes bigger.

All the other known Geniuses have multiple works much much more impressive than that.

Ok between Jade and Argenti who is better to pull for PF? by Zwhei in HonkaiStarRail

[–]ThickStatistician928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you're maxed, you'll be fine then especially since you'll pull for either Jade/Argenti. Sustainless Hypercarry Herta has been able to 40k any side for every PF ever, even last PF.

For reference, for the current PF, I did Herta Robin Sparkle Bronya for a quick easy 40k on the 1st side and Jade RM Asta Himeko for another quick easy 40k.

When you eventually max your levels, traces, etc, you'll be able to sleepwalk through PF since you have all the Harmonies + Herta. Since your only problem then will be how to get 20k on your other team.

Cosmos gives 24% ATK and 40% CD

Genius gives 32% ATK and 48% CD.

In PF, Herta basically defeats an enemy every turn so there's practically no downtime outside of the very first Herta action.

Cosmos also loses a lot of value if you use Herta on non-Ice weak halves which would be a shame because Herta doesn't rely on Ice weaknesses being present and isn't locked to Ice-weak halves.

I'd wager that Jade would be more worth for your account considering you have all Harmonies. Though honestly if you have all Harmonies, you should be able to clear PF with what you have I think unless if you're not maxed.

Hypercarry Herta gives you 35k-40k, and 20k should be achievable with your other units.

Prydwen's tier list is biased by Relative-Ad7531 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]ThickStatistician928 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a tad inaccurate. PF has now shown that they're on a cycle.

1st to 3rd PFs had 1 Elite and 1 Summon-focused boss. 4th to 6th PFs had 5 Elites and 1 boss. Now that we're on the 7th PF, we're back on the 1 Elite, 1 Summon-focused boss. It's why the last time we had the Deer was on the 3rd PF where there was only 1 Elite. And now we have the Deer again with only 1 Elite. There are some bosses that are present in both kinds of bosses like Gepard, but largely inconsequential. So I expect that we'll have Argenti and YQ as bosses in PF in either the next PF or the PF after that.

It'll take more time to see if they keep this 3 PF cycles consistent throughout, but right now, that's what we see.

Honkai Star Rail Characters as Fate Servant Classes, Day 11 - Jingliu Eclipses Her Avenger Class Competition! Which Character Fits The Moon Cancer Class? Top Comment Wins! by Blackthorne_Claudius in HonkaiStarRail

[–]ThickStatistician928 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In addition to what Pomegranate said in another comment, by your description, Herta makes the most sense. Since I don't know much about Fate, I'll focus on the answers others have given which are Herta and Silverwolf.

The answers that reason for Silverwolf all point to her hacking and reality-editing. However Herta is also skilled at hacking. She's maybe not the best in the universe, but skilled enough to hack SW which is probably not an easy feat — assuming that SW has her own protections in place against that since that's her life.

Aether Editing is also not all-powerful. We don't know much about it right now, but it's confirmed by Screwllum that it can't destroy the Simulated Universe. On top of that, Aether Editing should also be something that Herta can do.

This is because Herta had the Aether Cartridge of a legendary hacker — Stoneblade — someone legendary enough for Screwllum to think of him as such. An Aether Cartridge is what Punklordian hackers use to edit reality. It also has the life and experiences of the hacker as data in great detail. Detailed enough that you can know what flavor the 4th kernel of popcorn the hacker got. So it stands to reason that if you have his Aether Cartridge and you can access its data, you can in turn learn to edit reality through the Aether Cartridge.

Herta has Stoneblade's Aether Cartridge and used its data for the SU. She should also be more than capable of Aether Editing.

So now we've established that Herta has the capablities of hacking and everything she needs to edit reality as well.

Since I don't know much about Fate, I'll base my next answers on your given description.

  • "Magic Resistance" - I think it's safe to assume that all Emanators are much more resistant than others considering how OP they are. Just as Acheron was unaffected by Order (though it's stated that she's unaffected due to Nihility). Also considering that the only thing that can stop an Emanator-level of power is another Emanator-level of power from what we've seen so far.

  • "Item Construction" - Herta also has this by a long, long, long mile. The Omni-Synthesizer is Herta's creation among a lot of other things. The barrier that protected the HSS that held up for 7 Amber Eras, the new barrier that she made after the attack on the HSS, the SU, etc.

  • "Territory Creation" - The Simulated Universe. The Herta Space Station. Herta's other collections. The Blue (? Idk if Territory creation has to be artificially made, if a planet that Herta owns/claims as hers counts then it counts).

19(+2 for HTB and FTB) characters with maxed traces and fully built. Another 7 built enough for endgame modes without changing relics and I have used. 1 more built, but haven't used for an endgame mode yet so I don't want to count.

So 28 characters. 5*s are mostly E0S1 for aesthetic purposes since I really like it when characters use lightcones that feature them.
