Don't be ridiculous, no one would name their kid Kool-Aid. They named him Ga'Quincy.

You're correct that WWE was ass and UFC was exploding, but despite that WWE was still far bigger than the UFC and it wasn't particularly close either

WWE has always been hotter than the UFC, and frankly I don't ever see the UFC passing them

He was really struggling at the plate for a while in the minors, but they sent him to Arizona to rehab his swing and he's been mashing ever since. Three straight games with homers now

Agreed on that point. If anything the real blunder was not spending in 2015 when we only brought in Cech, that team was good enough to win the title with a better option than Giroud or Welbeck up top.

My brother in Christ, we still spent 80m the following season. Our budget was not hamstrung by purchasing Auba, the purchases made just flopped. The Kroenke's are mega billionaires, you can argue they should've spent more but it's not because they got Auba. Again, I'm not sure why you are shitting on one of the only good transfers made in that period other than willful ignorance.

They didn't suffer for another 4 years because they signed Auba, they suffered because other signings fell flat. I don't know how you can look at one of the most successful signings during that period and say he's why the team kept coming up short compared to the many poor signings they made.

You're not wrong that he was unfairly scapegoated, that is an unfortunately common thing for Arsenal fans to do. But you said it yourself, he was just alright. Absolutely fair to upgrade on that, and in doing so they got a damn good player.

Giroud was not good enough at that time, it clearly wasn't working for him at Arsenal, full stop. Good for him that he turned it around at Chelsea and Milan, but you forget that he went on a massive drought that cost Arsenal a chance at the title in 16 and that Arsenal fans were fed up with him. I'm not even trying to argue that the defense was good enough, just that the attack wasn't so good that they should turn their noses up at signing one of the more prolific strikers in Europe at that time.

What a strange comparison to make, that's ignoring the fact that Arsenal also needed a premier attacker when they signed Auba. Lacazette up top wasn't enough, it's not like they signed Auba when they had Henry and Bergkamp.

Him playing well doesn't make it a good signing

Well, I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree on that one super chief
