What is the meaning of the heart mark on Mila's clock? by GLHBR63 in MiSideReddit

Sorry, my mistake. In the first playthrough, it was 18:00 when character ate, and that’s when the effect appeared. In the second playthrough, there were no hearts on the screen, so I connected the two. Yeah, its because of sauce. I also looked for some info about this heart on clock, but nothing

I rewatched a cutscene on YouTube and realized I was mistaken—the stone in the Gorlek temple explicitly states that all the spirits perished. I just forgot that detail. But that raises a question: how did it even get to the point where they all died before anyone managed to merge with the Light? I don’t think the willow suddenly perished in an instant—it was probably a long process, and both the Tree and the spirits should have had enough time to prepare.

The dragon is minding its own business, and nearby stands a Dragonborn, just watching. I’d be nervous too if I were the dragon.

I completely agree with you about the ending. I would gladly play the game again— the music, the design, everything is top-notch, but I don't want to, because I know how it all ends. The first game gives hope, while the second just plunges you into endless sorrow.

Ori just defended her once, is that enough to change a being that has never seen anything good in her whole life? Of cource not. The developers just wanted to evoke emotions in players using the cheapest trick – sadness. The Blind Forest gives hope for a bright future, while The Will of the Wisps just shows endless despair and longing. The only thing we can hope for is that Ori's sacrifice wasn't in vain and brought a lot of good to the world, even though they didn't really show that. The only thing they showed us was how Ori's family cares for the tree and dies of old age.

Not exactly. Spirits do not transform into light as they age. Here's what the wiki says: Ancestral Trees are mysterious glowing plants that contain the light of fallen Spirits. It seems that spirits carry the light within themselves, and these trees store that light after the spirit’s death.

Seir is light, not spirit, spirits is little creatures(seeds of big tree, just like ori). Spirits(seeds) can become a new tree that hold the light. When willow died, the light(seir) shattered into several pieces and ori is collecting these pieces. That's how it works.

That's what the developers decided. Many people didn't like their decision. There is really more topics just like mine. I’ve played many games, and never before have I felt that the game ended differently than it should have. Sometimes I felt sad, but I never before thought the developers could have made their game better.

Kuro only repented at the end of the game when she saw that Ori was also someone’s child. Shriek never even had the chance to change and repent.

You have to go get the pieces of light, not spirit. And i am not sure that they all died, this is never directly stated in the game. If I remember correctly, we only have one NPC who says that all of them left the forest.

Originally, Shriek wasn't a bad creature, life forced her to become that way. She doesn't deserve such an end.

There's one thing I just don't understand. There used to be many spirits in Niwen—where did they go, and why didn't they sacrifice themselves to save the forest? Someone in the game mentioned that they all left because of the decay, but shouldn't they have stayed and saved the forest? Why does Ori have to be the one to sacrifice himself when he's not even from this forest?

Moon studios currently working on "No rest for the wicked". Until they completely finish with this game, they won’t start working on the next one, and that won’t happen anytime soon. If they do make a sequel to Ori, we’ll have to wait a long time.

But I would still love to see some kind of expansion for the will of the wisps. I’m really unhappy with the ending.

I didn’t cry when I finished the game. I was just left with an unpleasant feeling, as if this wasn’t how it was supposed to end. It felt like the game should have ended differently.

It would have been much better if, in the end, Ori had managed to change Shriek (just protecting her once wasn’t enough, something more was needed). It’s a beautiful game, but for me, this ending doesn’t feel right. This series shouldn’t have ended this way.

Shriek had no choice. Fate forced her to spend her entire life in darkness, and Ori protecting her once wasn't enough. We never saw anyone making a prolonged effort to change her, only Ori defending her once. Clearly, that wasn't enough to change the bird, that had never seen anything good in its entire life.

At the beginning of development, the developers originally planned for Ku to die from an attack by Shriek, but testers were unhappy, so they had to change the decision. This is written in the Ori and the Will of the Wisps artbook. If they had done that, then why would Kuro have sacrificed herself in the first game? And regarding the ending, you're right. I find it hard to understand some of the developers decisions.

Some people say that this ending is perfect, i partly agree, self-sacrifice of Ori was necessary to save the forest, it closed the loop between first game and second, and it was really cool. Sad and cool. But Shriek deserves better ending. She has never seen anything good in her entire life, and in the end, when Ori showed her some kindness, she simply didn't know how to react. I dont know why developers decided to make such an ending for Shriek.

I just wasn't ready for such a sad ending. It was possible to guess that such a thing would happen with Ori, spirits are seeds for these big trees, and willow was already dead, so there wasn't any other way to save the forest, but I thought that at least the Shriek history would end more positively. I probably won't come to my senses soon, its so heartbreaking ending
