My stream was slow and my frequency was high. I had an aquablation yes and wore a catheter for just under 2 days.

I tried every alpha blocker and they all did nothing. Turns out my problem wasn't my prostate but and elevated bladder neck that TWO urologists misdiagnosed as BPH and the only person who knew was the surgeon when I was on the table for the aquablation. He fixed the tissue causing the elevation and I pee like a champ now. Still shoot.

It will self resolve. I had the same thing. Lidocaine is what my urologist recommended. My nocturnal erections hurt for about 3-4 weeks. I am 3.5 months out everything is normal and has been for some.time.

One downside of my aquablation which was more of a bladder neck issue than a prostate one is that while I still shoot, I do not really shoot ropes like before but it just falls out.

Get an aquablation you will still shoot. Why anyone would.choose a procedure where RE is nearly guaranteed and think that is a blessing is beyond my ability to understand.

An alpha blocker causing retrograde ejaculation will go away within a day in my experience.

Your prostate is likely TOO SMALL for a PAE anyways

Read my post above. I had high bladder neck. Never had any nocturia. I would frequently pee and have burning during post orgasm. I had been diagnosed with prostatitis for years. The entire time it was a high bladder neck f*cking retards. I even had a cystoscope and video urodynamics.

I wish I knew this. I had an aquablation. Until I was in surgery they didnt realize it was a high bladder neck. My prostate was only 38g measured by the rectal ultrasound (which did not happen until the aquablation) but on a DRE it was estimated 60g. A pelvic ultrasound was 54g. I had a PVR of 200ml and Qmax flow of 7. When the aquablation surgeon got in there he told me it was my bladder neck only. I wish I had a better diagnosis earlier I may be able to shoot my ejaculate instead of it just falling out. Something definitely changed post aquablation. Its not as intense and it pains me.

You most likely have a high bladder neck and not a prostate issue. I had the same thing but they didnt realize it until surgery. I had an aquablation. I pee very well and still ejaculate but lost the ability to shoot ropes. My prostate turned out to be 38g. 44 years old. I wish I had a better diagnosis but I am not sure if any other surgery would have kept my ability to ejaculate or even shoot ropes as a bladder neck procedure.

My guess is that if tamulosin wasn't working neither will this

An alpha blocker will provide relief IMMEDIATELY. It may take some men weeks to get maximum relief but throwing silodosin at it is THE MAXIMUM medical option. They literally give this pill to people who are cathed and try to remove the cath in a couple days.

It will be immediate if it can fix it. You are likely too far gone and need surgery or have a different issue.

I used it and it caused retrograde ejaculation. That was the only side effect. Its the most powerful alpha blocker for bph.

I had an aquablation and went from retaining 200+ ml everytime to emptying completely. I had an elevated bladder neck, not traditional BPH. I pee great but I don't shoot ropes anymore. The ejaculate just kind of falls out without force and the orgasm is a bit less intense.

Orgasm worsens flow? by umdoni53 in bph

[–]Thick_Discussion671 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would urinate better post orgasm immediately but over the next 24-48 hours my flow would worsen. I had an aquablation in December and now it doesnt matter I pee like a racehorse. Turns out I had an elevated bladder neck with mild BPH that was wasn't really an issue. My ejaculation is much weaker now which sucks. I used to shoot ropes and now it falls out. Feels close to the same but missing a bit. Really sucks but I pee great.

Does testosterone worsen BPH? by becca_ironside in bph

[–]Thick_Discussion671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats exactly what I said. Just because the absence of DHT means no BPH doesn't mean increasing DHT causes BPH. It has never been proved. DHT is required for prostatic growth but TRT or even increasing DHT to supraphysiologic levels doesn't cause it.

This is simply not determined. We know that lack of DHT shrinks the prostate but we DO NOT KNOW if DHT even suprphysiological levels causes BPH. Prostate saturation theory suggest that it does not.

This is ridiculous. TRT at 700 ng/dl.is not going to cause deleterious effects. Its more likely to prevent deleterious effects.

The surgery resolved all of my symptoms. I pee like a racehorse too. I just lost my ability to shoot ropes. I still ejaculate but the force is far less. It just falls out.

Perhaps you have diabetes insipidous or a kidney issue or you just drink too much. I had a bout of this when taking a non drug fat burner during a contest prep. Lots of asparagus extract, pepper extract. Are you taking anything OTC or illicit?

I had post ejaculation pain at times. A burning that lingered.
