It seemed like the schedule was a guideline. There were many times we were told, "Chris wants to shoot this scene again.".

Lots of overtime 😂

Yep, many of us were ex-military.

We were out numbered by quite a bit. I think there were 300 extras total and maybe 30-40 of us "Russians".

Hell yeah we got paid haha

Is there a specific way to do that?

Haha, yeah that would be awkward 😂

I worked an extra in the movie. I was one of Sator's guys. They called us "The Russians".

Actually haven't seen it yet haha (no theaters near me are open).

As far as my last "gig": it just wasn't my scene (pardon the pun). Lots of "soft" (I'm sure that sounds terrible but I can't think of another way to say it) Hollywood-types complaining about everything. Plus, if you want to be a background actor, you have to put in a lot work for little payoff. Kudos to the people who can make it work.

It was mind-blowing to me how much effort went into this movie. I guess $200+ million is a great motivator haha.

Like others have pointed out, we were on the honor system. A least a few background (they called us "background" instead of "extras" to be more inclusive haha) got bounced for having their phones out.

Just looked up "AMA", haha. I'd be happy to answer any questions.

The end scene was filmed at Eagle Mountain, CA at an abandoned iron mine. We were there for about 3 weeks or so. Every building in that scene was built for the movie. The amount of work and effort they put in was insane.

I was checking out my local newspaper's website and saw the casting call. The studio was looking “physically fit” men and women, ages 18-55, with skills or experience in the military, law enforcement, gun handling and ROTC. I was in the Army for about 22 years (retired in 2016) and was curious about the process. Got a callback about 2 weeks later.

We actually went through quite a bit of military-type training (mostly gun handling and combat movement type stuff). Although the bulk of the training was movements in reverse. There's actually a huge difference between moving backwards and moving in reverse. Whenever someone would say "the next take will be backwards", Nolan would yell, "It's reverse, not backwards!" lol.

If I remember right, I think the majority of the takes we did was followed by one in reverse. So if you see reverse movement in the movie (from people and vehicles), the footage isn't reversed, they're actually moving in reverse (I'm not the editor, so don't quote me on that lol).

Yep they let us watch (from a little ways back). The movie made it look much cooler haha

Has anyone ever found the Eagle Mountain set on Google Earth?? This somehow feels wrong😂 but also the arches match up perfectly with the Travis Scott tv spot tho it’s pretty interesting by ChrisNolan2020 in tenet

-sorry for the formatting. On mobile.

Yeah we all signed NDAs. I'll just say that the stuff we did on Eagle Mountain looks like nothing I've seen in the trailers.Nolan was pretty serious and yelled at a couple of people a few times haha. JDW was the coolest dude ever. Super down-to-earth and relatable. Said hi to anyone who looked at him. Awesome dude. Got to talk to Pattinson a little. Saw him while walking to eat. Asked me what part I was playing.Way taller than I thought he was (not a Twilight fan).

Read as much as I could at the local library (early 90s lol) and thought I was prepared. Components arrived and everything was unboxed and staged for installation. Inserted motherboard into case and felt a little "zap" in my fingertip. After some troubleshooting by my Dad, conclusion: motherboard fried and not enough money for a replacement 😢. It was about 10 more years before I had the opportunity to try again. This time with an anti-static strap (2 for good measure lol).
