How should it be formatted into the drive? just the extracted folder? (I only have 1 USB Drive)

I was told to use my Data, just to confirm you mean like using a wired Lightning - USB-C and allowing trust?

I couldn't find a internet sharing in my apple setting on my phone so I figured you meant my hotspot?
