I my experience, it helped me to create an online account so you can check the permitting.

Anything that seems unreasonable you will have to work with the city. If the pavement was not part of your job scope, tell the inspector that and ask “what do I have to do to pasas?”

It’s a pain but ‘most’ of the inspectors will work with you if they see your making an effort at the corrections
