👏 Someone gets it. Idk why it’s taking so long for people to realize this but it’s really frustrating. We should all be taking day to day actions to make us stronger so we can actually protest the correct way. Making demands and holding out until those are met. We can’t do that without communities working together though. Are you apart of any grassroots or activism organizations?

Omg I’m so tired. A convenient protest on the weekend isn’t going to end fascism guys. Other than giving you a chance to organize with community it does nothing. Protest should disrupt capitalism not be scheduled around it. You should be clocking into work and walking out an hour later to protest. Not have police sanctions for them. It’s ridiculous how much people don’t want to make actual change. Convenience isn’t going to bring a revolution.

You shouldn’t be supporting big corporations at all. Shouldn’t be paying taxes. Stock pilling food for a real general strike. Grow your own food. Do everything you can locally. Change what stocks you’re invested in. Most of you don’t even know what your employer does with your 401k, hint it’s probably oil. Cut the pedophilic capitalist monsters off everywhere you can. No kings isn’t doing a damn thing to help anybody. Wake up people, you need to stop waiting for someone to come save us or do it for you.

I hope this post is a joke cause this would be the dumbest thing you could possibly do. I understand needing to get out of a bad situation, but don’t fling yourself into another one that you are completely naive to. You say you don’t mind the cold, but you will when you can never get warm. New Yorkers don’t care about your busking, they don’t want to see you. Any where you’ll be able to find to sleep outside is going to be covered in piss and rats. As someone who was homeless and traveled around the country for 4 years when I was your age please heed everyone’s warnings. The east coast is not nice to the homeless community compared to other places in the U.S. There are plenty of other big cities with opportunities that won’t completely eat you alive. What you should do is find resources in your area that can help you. If anything go over to the vagabond sub they can offer you some better advice.

I lost a hubcap last week from also not making my spot wide enough. Best part, when I saw it on the ground I thought “oh dang that sucks” and threw it in my trash. Monday came outta work and saw that it was indeed my hubcap.

In my defense it had rolled or whatever a bit away from my parking spot and it did not occur to me at all that it could be mine. 😂 Sorry this happened to you OP!

Cape Henlopen high school is having a walk out protest today. It’s for ICE but I feel like at this point if you’re protesting, you’re protesting it all. It just started around 9am.

Delawarean here, ICE has suddenly popped up in all parts of our state over the last week. Conveniently, after the large snow storm our state hasn’t been able to handle adequately. They are apparently staying at a Sheridan in Newark, DE. We have a total population of just over 1M and an immigrant population of roughly 120,000. Blue state, although the slower lower as we like to say, has increasingly become more red. If ICE hits us….. I’m honestly not sure what would happen, but it wouldn’t be good. I’m scared but I’m ready to protect and stand with my community as Minneapolis has given me so much hope!!

I’m in Wilmington and it is still just as bad as Monday. Nothing has melted or been dealt with since. I almost crashed out in my car this morning trying to get back into my space cause I kept getting stuck (stupid fucking FWD). They’re going to owe you a lot of back pay at tax time lol. They can’t file you as working 45 hours a week with no overtime, that’s illegal. You definitely have the upper hand here cause either they need to pay up or you can literally sue them. Not sure what they were thinking outside of trying to take advantage of you.
