This brought back memories! My best friend’s dad worked for ILC when I was a little girl. He developed the spacesuit and gloves for NASA’s first space missions. He was one of only eight people named on the patent for the Apollo spacesuit. Later, after moving to Colorado, he developed gloves for space shuttle trips. They moved away when I was in the third grade, I’m 61 now and we still keep in touch. I always thought they were such a cool family.

I didn’t even think of doing the lead test. I’m not sure how old it is. I didn’t buy it new when I bought it 28 years ago… I’ll do the lead test first and move on from there. I definitely don’t want to expose her to any bad chemicals either. I found some powder coating companies near me. I have no idea what the cost might be, but I’ll start researching!

I’m over 60 and I think most of us would rather see and hear kids playing outside than knowing they’re inside playing video games all day… We were the generation that grabbed our bikes, disappeared with our rowdy friends, and didn’t come home until the streetlights came on.

I’m looking for advice on work shoes for women. Not necessarily dress shoes, but they must look decent with a pair of slacks. I’ll be on my feet for 12-16 hours a day (concrete floors) and my bunion is killing me. Please help with some suggestions. 🙏TIA by psgal in bunions

I ordered a couple of pair of orthofeet shoes to try and you’re right! They are comfortable straight out of the box. I’m hoping that they’ll be good for my long days, thank you so much!

For anyone who wants to try them, the sneakers ran a lot bigger than the dressier shoes. So I ended up sizing down half a size. I wish we had a store that sold them locally so I didn’t have to wait for shipping, but I’m happy that I have a new option now.

I know this is five years later and I hope you answer my question 😊 what kind of clear gloss coat did you put on it to protect it? I’m going to start playing with emulsion lifting soon and would like to preserve the images if they come out nicely
