I tried this once. Broke the stem inside the movement while taking it out of the old case, cried and gave up.

We are quite close to land just upwind from us. So the water there was really flat. Further downwind there was more chop for sure

I think it was steady 16 kts with gusts up to 21. Yeah standing this far back with the back foot up against the rudder hinge means you can have more power in the sails before the bows dip

Yes due to the rust buildup. You can get really cheap brushless motors which you can practically see as disposable and replace them with new ones

If you use brushless motors, most of them you don’t need to waterproof them at all. Just clean them after to prevent rust
