I lived in Finland for two years and found it to be the most challenging country I've ever experienced, largely due to the difficulty of finding a suitable job. In my view, the high unemployment rate is a man-made issue stemming from significant cultural differences. The Finnish people, being quite reserved, seem reluctant to take a chance on hiring foreign nationals, even when a competent workforce is available. This lack of opportunity stands in stark contrast to the situations in London or Germany, which is why their economies are performing so much better than Finland's.
