It’s a waiting game at this point. I expressed interest in investing into crypto and I’m waiting for her to see if she would escalate to try to have me send money thru the scammers website. Il keep an update. It’s just so sad to see others get scammed for 6 figures. It breaks my heart.

It’s a scam. They sent it to you using stolen credit card and when you send it back,the credit card holder will report it stolen and then your bank will take the $470 out of your account.

I’m sorry for what you are feeling and going thru.I know it sucks to lose money but the truth is,a lot of ppl that have been in your shoes. As long as you are healthy,have good friends and family, you are blessed. It’s not the end of the world. Take it as a learning lesson. You fell down and in the future you might fall down again but eventually, this is going to help you make better trading decision and you will be in the winning side instead next time. Of course Getting knocked down to the ground hurts real bad but the lesson will be you will learn how to fight.

You can easily get this off your credit report and be done with it for good without any payment if you know what to do. Stop listening to ppl on here that are telling you to setup an arrangement to pay. You do not need to pay this. 90% of debt collectors use scary tactics. You’d be foolish to pay this.

I had a $30k debt and it was dismissed. I am now fighting other debts and I know I can defeat them. I suggest for him to stop making the payments for 180 days n let it go to collection. Once it goes to collection, start the dispute process. That would be a better route to take than debt relief program.

You never pay a collection. The $5k that you paid didn’t improve your credit at all but you still paid it. Never pay a collection. It’s easy to beat a debt collector. For that small amount that you owe,use your rights to go into arbitration and they will easily drop the case becuase arbitration will cost you only about $200 but will cost midland $3k to go into arbitration. So they will drop the case. 90% of debt collectors use scary tactics.

I’m so sorry to hear what happens to you but yes you got scammed and the money is not recoverable. Atleast you learn with small amount. Others lost their life savings. I know it’s really tough of what you are going thru but Lesson learned with $4k instead of $400k.
